Book Musings: The Art of Miss Chew

The Art of Miss Chew

I loved, loved, loved this book! Another by Patricia Polacco and this one is based on the true story of how Polacco became an artist. It’s the story of her first real art class taught by the amazing Miss Chew.

This is a heartwarming story of discovering she was an artist and the wonderful teacher who helped her discover it!

Loved, loved, loved … Did I say I loved this book? xoxo

March to a Different Drummer

October 2 2016:

walk-with-me-session-september-9-2016-2

from the fun book we read tonight …. “Those who march to a different drummer are in a magnificent band indeed!” ~”Patricia Polacco presents … The Graves Family” …

It’s when we start looking around and comparing that we begin thinking our band is too loud, too colorful, too quiet, not colorful enough, too impulsive, not impulsive enough, too kind, not kind enough, too plain, too wild … However the “music” comfortably flows forth is what makes it magnificent …. Let it flow …. xoxoxoxo
