“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order.” – Henry David Thoreau
What better day to officially celebrate? Here’s to a successful creation and launch of Where Would You Fly and the final book to complete the trio for Team TLC … Definitely not the last!
It reached the Top 100 on the US Amazon site and Top 50 on the UK site. It has flown to Australia, The Netherlands, Northern Ireland, England, and from sea to shining sea in the United States.
She has received the most beautiful and heart warming reviews on Amazon and two bulk orders. And the local Reno Nevada KOLO 8 news segment has been viewed around the world.
This definitely called for a pile of gluten free white powdered donuts! Here’s to pursuing ones calling. Here’s to doing it different. Here’s to stickin with it. Heres to vowing to listen to ones heart. Here’s to us. And, most importantly, here’s to YOU!!! Oceans of love!!
“Painting is my passion” and “Painting makes me happy” -Thomas Darnell …
While painting this morning Thomas says he hasn’t decided whether he wants to be an artist/painter or a restaurant worker when he grows up. He asks me how to choose. I tell him choose whichever one brings him happiness and whichever one he is happiest doing. This brought on the previous quotes from him.
Then he asked if it’s okay to try being a restaurant worker so he knows what it’s like. Absolutely it is Thomas! I so much love that I get to be this young man’s Mama! xoxo
Happiness is kind people. Happiness is the man in the grocery store who directed Thomas and I to a shorter line. I was not in a hurry and Thomas and I were happily talking to one another and being patient. Then the kind man in front of us asked us to go ahead of him. AND, when I turned to thank him once again, he smiled and blessed me.
Happiness is kind people and being kind to others spreads happiness . . .
“Biggest Little Photographer” and “D in for Different” left for Silver Springs Nevada yesterday afternoon. That’s a whole lotta love in that package!! May everyone who touches it on the way, feel the love!! xoxo
January 27 2017:
WOW!!! What a great SibShop this afternoon! Thomas got to tour the lab, the roof (where the helicopter lands), the children’s ER, and the main ER at Renown. He also got to see a brain!
He says the energy there is very sad. Yet, the energy of his group was joyful and he had a good time.
Thank you Diana Beeghly Rovetti, Down Syndrome Network of Northern Nevada (DSNNN), and JUSTin HOPE Foundation for facilitating and hosting these amazing Sibshops!!
