Book Musings: Fire in the Heart – A Spiritual Guide for Teens

Fire in the Heart – A Spiritual Guide for Teens –

I listened to the audio version of this book with Thomas and Lillian about seven years ago. I’m not one to let books written for specific age groups deter me! HA!

I remembered loving this book back then. Recently, I had been having the urge to experience it again. I’m hoping Thomas and Lillian decide to read it also.

A non-fiction story of an elder man, Baba, whom Chopra encountered when he was 15 years old. Chopra shares, in his beautiful writing style, the lessons he learned from Baba.

Book Musings: The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire

February 10 2018:

The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire

This has been in my collection for years and I just now got around to reading it. It is crystal clear to me why I just now read this book. And is absolutely NO coincidence. And not a coincidence that it is about coincidences.

This one dives deeper into the coincidences we experience. The content is deeply aligned with my heart and I feel it to be quite powerful.

I haven’t had time to write a post about my 2018 main theme word and two supporting theme words. Yet, the main word is Jump (interchangeable with Leap) and the two supporting words are Listen and Trust. This book is full to the brim of the use of jump, leap, listen, and trust.

Here’s just one example, “These leaps of imagination are constantly evolving into what we see as the universe.” … Yes, Big Yes! I loved this one!! xoxo

What’s interesting for me is that when I’m reading his books, I “hear” the words spoken in his voice rather than mine. Almost like he’s reading to me! HA!

Book Musings: Peace is the Way

Peace is the Way

“There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.” -Mahatma Gandhi

I am reading this book aloud with Thomas and Lillian. There’s so much it contains that I’d like to share, it would nearly be the entire book! It’s an incredibly powerful book. It may have been published in 2005; yet, it seems especially relevant in the present.

“Violence may be innate in human nature, but so is its opposite: love. The next stage of humanity, the leap which we are poised to take, will be guided by the force of that love.”

“You aren’t asked to be a saint, or to give up any belief. You are only asked to stop reacting out of fear, to change your allegiance from violence to peace.”
