Team TLC movie night: Thomas’ choice: “Casper”
Thomas says, “It was good. My favorite characters are the Uncles.”
Lillian says, “My favorite character is Kat, favorite part was the end, and it was good, fabulous, suspenseful, and emotional. I 100% recommend watching it.”
I say, “Carries the message of a selfless act and that ones personal treasure is unique to that person. And it’s just silly!”
October 7 2017:
Team TLC movie night: My choice – “The Pursuit of HappYness”
I say, “I saw this years ago, yet, wanted Thomas and Lillian to see it. Interesting how I don’t feel the same about it as I did then. Still think it’s a moving story though.”
Thomas says, “I think it emphasizes how much we focus on money. It was a good and sad movie.”
Lillian says, “Good, emotional, fantastic, and the music was good.”
September 30 2017:
Team TLC movie night: Lillian’s choice: “The BFG” –
Lillian says, “Good, funny, emotional, suspenseful, mysterious, and my favorite character is Sophie.”
I say, “A magical and adventurous tale of friendship, courage, and following ones heart. Loved it!”
Thomas says, “It wasn’t like the book. The parts that were in the book were good. Read the book first!” (Thomas has read it about 7 times.)
Team TLC movie night: Thomas’ choice – “Lee Daniels’ The Butler”
Thomas says: “I’m glad I chose this movie. It was really good. I like that it’s inspired by a true story.”
Lillian says, “Good, awesome, emotional, and I like that it’s historical.”
I say, “Sobering. A testament to awakening.”
September 16 2017:
Team TLC movie night – My choice: “Life is Beautiful”
I say, “Powerful and beautiful. Extraordinary tale full of imagination, humor, and heart wrenching sadness.”
Thomas say, “Good, sometimes funny, and good plot.”
Lillian says, “Good, liked the music, liked the character Dora, amazing, suspenseful, and Guido is funny.”
September 9 2017:
Team TLC movie night – Lillian’s choice: “Good Boy!” –
Lillian says, “Good, suspenseful, emotional, liked the music, and dramatic.”
I say, “Enjoyed the voices of the dogs … Vanessa Redgrave and Cheech Marin!”
Thomas says, “Good and defines dogs in society.”
September 2 2017:
Team TLC movie night – Thomas’ choice: “The Cat From Outer Space” …. Second time around for this one. We watched it Spring 2014 and Thomas requested to see it again recently.
Thomas says, “I like it a lot! I understood the humor more this time.”
Lillian says, “Good, suspenseful, magical, and hilarious.”
I say, “An extraterrestrial cat = Pure silliness and goofyness!”
August 24 2017:
Team TLC Movie Night – My choice: “Philomena”
I say, “True story of such heartbreaking cruelty and one woman’s grace of forgiveness of those who wronged her. Inspiring by way of the friendship formed and the grace of forgiveness. Just adore Judi Dench and she is amazing in this role.”
Thomas says, “It was good with four plot twists. The nuns were super mean.”
Lillian says, “Good, emotional, and my favorite parts were the airport and airplane scenes.”
August 19 2017:

Lillian says, “Good, musical, awesome, wonderful, and marvelous.”
I say, “S’Wonderful and S’Marvelous!!”
Thomas says, “Funny and good.”

Thomas says, “It was good! I liked the concept.”
