“Whittling is the funnest thing ever! I Love it!” -Thomas
Gave him my pappaw’s pocket knife today and he’s been at it ever since. He searched for sticks when we went for our walk and now he has a stash! xoxo

November 16 2015:
One of the middle school students just told me that she has the feeling Thomas is going to be famous. She says he just has something about his personality.
He must have really made an impression on her as this is the 2nd time she’s mentioned that she talked with him. Told her I’m inclined to agree with her. May he never become disconnected from his inner self … xoxo

November 14 2015: Look for the post on my blog. Link to it …
Thomas chose sushi for dinner and then we made the cake. I must have been so giddy (or so tired) that I put 1 cup too much water in the mix. Only realized it when I put it in the oven. I thought if looked way to runny. Oops!! Took it out and added coconut flour, almond flour, another egg, more vanilla, more coconut sugar, and some cocoa. I was thinking at least it would cook and be solid even if it didn’t taste good (Lillian was on the verge of a meltdown due to my oops moment). Turned out yummy and meltdown averted! YAY!!

“I want to keep my Report Card in my room for the rest of my life … as a kid … ’cause I don’t want to forget Mrs. O’Connor!” -Thomas Darnell
Thank you to Mrs. O’Connor for being such a fabulous teacher and role model, for being patient, and for texting almost daily with me to ensure we were working together to help Thomas be his best!!
