Throwback Post: What Is a Typewriter

**THROWBACK POST**

September 22 2013:

“Why don’t we use typewriters anymore?” … Thomas asked me today. Explaining what a typewriter is was another conversation a while back. He says typewriters seem so much easier. You don’t have to print anything cause you already have it right there …. (He was reading an older book that mentioned typewriters.)

Throwback Post: Comfort Zone is With Books All Around Him

**THROWBACK POST**

September 26 2014:

During our walk Thomas was showing me the 3 main moves of fencing. I asked who had taught him that. Oh, remember when I told you I read all the encyclopedia’s in the classroom? It was in there …. Then I found an old modular quick jack, still in the package, on the ground during our walk. He was so excited to get home and examine this odd thing. I haven’t used a land line since maybe 2009. …. Then he told me that his comfort zone at school is with books all around him, researching and writing reports. Yesterday he wrote a report about Italy. Today was the Eastern Hemisphere. He’s so inspiring. I just love being around him!

Throwback Post: The Happy Virus

**THROWBACK POST**

September 25 2012:

Driving to family swim night this past Friday night, Thomas says to me, “I’ve got the Happy Virus”. Then he tells me what that is .. something like you are just so happy with all the stuff that’s going on ….

Well, y’all know me! I’m like, What a phrase you just coined Thomas!! That’s it! Team TLC is out to infect as many people as we can with the Happy Virus … watch out y’all. I hear you can get an immunization for it at your local pharmacy; but they are running low … we may just get to you with our Happy Virus before you can get immunized!!

Throwback Post: 50 Days 500 Questions

**THROWBACK POST**

October 4 2013:

Thomas’ observations last night during our before bed chat ritual where we talk about whatever he wants …. “I ask you at least 10 questions a day, probably more. In 50 days that’s 500 questions!”

Yes, Thomas, I agree. And he stumps me at least once a day with his questions! I also told him that sounds like a great book title, “50 Days, 500 Questions”!

Throwback Post: I Know What You Will Say

**THROWBACK POST**

September 29 2015:

Driving home Thomas was being grumpy and said he’s so mad at himself. Then he says, “I know what you will say.” Then he says to himself what I would normally say to him in this situation. Then he says something else and he knows what I’ll say about that. And then he says to himself what I would normally say to him in this situation. I was trying not to laugh out loud as my heart was truly touched. Then, he asks, “Well, aren’t you going to say anything?”. Told him I wasn’t as he had just said it for me. He says, “Yes, but I like hearing it from you.” I had a conversation with him and didn’t even open my mouth! HA! LOVE …. xoxo
