Chad Basil the First Share’s Thoughts for 2023 and 2024

December 31 2023

I asked Basil his thoughts for 2023. He says as long as you relaxed and cleaned your paws, it was a fabulous year! 🎉🐾🎉

Chad Basil the First has declared 2024 to be The Year of Smoked Salmon. He had smoked salmon for the first time last night. Let me just say, it’s a good thing he can’t actually talk because he would have been begging us for more. As long as he gets to have more smoked salmon this year, he will be HAPPY!! 💯🎉💯

Thomas made spicy, Parmesan pretzel rods and macaroni salad. I’m having a hibiscus gin & tonic (yum) and we’ve got different cheeses, apple, pear, chips, dips, and smoked salmon for later, followed by some bubbly. Feels like there’s the perfect movies to go along with these. 🎉

Slight correction. “…. My Grand kitty’s little forehead, bro.” Isn’t he so cute with that lil white mustache? I’m out y’all. See you in 2024! 🎉💋🎉

Chad Basil the First – Totally Not a Lap Kitty

November 12 2023

Chad Basil the First appreciation post.

We love you, Basil! Totally not a lap kitty, but he tolerates us. Plus Basil loves to be petted. We get a kick out the varied and funny noises he makes. There’s the I found a bug noise, the Thomas is awake noise, the noise accompanying a big stretch, and the I see a bird noise. Love my grand kitty to pieces! 🖤🐾🖤

Happy One Year Anniversary – Chad Basil the First

Chad Basil the First has been with us one year now. On December 10, 2021 I took Thomas to the Nevada Humane Society.

Thomas was drawn to this sweet faced kitty. Basil was quite scared and anxious. He stayed under Thomas’s bed for the first month, slowly making his way out of the bedroom in the next couple of months.

Basil has been a blessing to Thomas, doing great at his job as an emotional support cat. Of course I fell in love with him too, and he has helped Lillian conquer her fear of cats (mostly).

Happy One Year Anniversary to Basil!! 🎉🎉🎉 Best Grandkitty EVER!

Chad Basil the First – Where Are All the Balls?

September 3 2022

Chad Basil the First update! He continues to get more comfortable with his home, and us.

I bought a bag of 100 rubber balls for Basil last November. We only have about 5 left. Where are the balls? 😂 I have a feeling there are many under the fridge, stove, and corners of the couch that can’t be easily reached.

Basil has decided he loves to be petted, scratched, and stroked. He actively comes over and “asks” for some lovin’. He still does not want to sit with us or on our laps, but I have a feeling that one day he will decide he wants to give it a try. He does let me give him kisses now, as this used to freak him out. Maybe he thought I was going to eat him. 😆😂😆

In short, Basil is absolutely adorable.
