Throwback Post: Last Day of School 2013

June 7 2013:

Last day of school for Thomas and Lillian. On to 2nd grade for Mr. T and on to 5th for Lillian. Absolutely not what I expected for this morning. There was grumpiness, melt downs, arguing, and a big fat scratch on my arm from a frustrated Team Member L! …

Yet, I have somewhat learned the art of flexibility. I embrace the morning we experienced. I’m happy, at peace and know these two learned a lesson about not getting back special moments once they are gone. Happy Day to all y’all!! I’ve got a feeling it’s gonna be a GREAT Day!

Thomas & Lillian Last Day of School 6.7.13

It’s been a long time since I’ve been a passenger in this car! The Romano Duo to the rescue! Jumped in my car to go pick up T & L and my car wouldn’t start! Oops! Thankfully they were around the corner at the grocery store! Guess we just needed a Romano fix!

I am blessed that my car was at home in the garage and that it was just the battery!! Thank you to Frank C. Romano Jr for wrestling the old one out, getting us a new one and installing it for us! Whew!

One more .. Did you know? Zoophobia or animal phobia is a class of specific phobias to particular animals, or an irrational fear or even simply dislike of any non-human animals. Wonder what a phobia of a phobia is called? HA!!

Homemade mini parachute adventures …. Thomas found the instructions online. Made one out of plastic grocery bag and one out of tissue paper … Both worked GREAT!!

Team TLC Movie Night – “The Theory of Everything” … Thomas says, “Good, funny, thoughtful, inspiring, scientific, and moving.” Lillian says, “Good, good music, funny, amazing, and interesting.” I say it was interesting to learn more about Stephen Hawking and his incredible sense of humor.

Thomas told me the night before last he was going to put a notepad and pen next to his bed in case he woke up in the middle of the night with ideas. Right on Mr. T!!! And, last night he wrote a “Note to Self” on the notepad …….. Simply says “Be Happy” … Every day, in every way, blessed and grateful for getting to have this young man in my life … xoxo

Smoke alarms …

I know my C18 friends feel me on this one! Lillian says in her future home, she will have magical smoke detectors that do not require batteries. The smoke detector will speak in a normal voice and say, “Lillian, I detect smoke.” … instead of that darn beeping!

Which Moms want to get together with me and invent these magical smoke alarms/detectors?

We KNOW they would be a hit and spread like, well, wild fire!! HA!
