December 15 2018:
Team TLC Movie Night: My choice – “Miracle on 34th Street” – Another seasonal favorite…
I say, “A testament to faith, love, and imagination.” And a quote from the movie, “Faith is believing in something when common sense tells you not to believe.”
Thomas says, “It’s good.”
Lillian says, “Good, my favorite character is Susan, good for Christmas, good moral, and liked the music.”
December 8 2018:
Team TLC movie night: Lillian’s choice – Another December favorite – “White Christmas”

Quote from the movie, “The bell still rings for all who believe.” I say, “Magical movie with a deeper meaning than appears …. for me, anyway.”
Lillian says, “Good, great Christmas movie, inspirational, like the songs and music, favorite character is Holly, the kind leader, and liked the northern lights.”
November 24 2018:
Team TLC Movie Night: My Choice – “The Great Rupert” aka “A Christmas Wish” …. The Great Rupert is a 1950 black & white with Jimmy Durante … Colorized in 2003 and renamed to A Christmas Wish
I say, “A squirrel as a guardian angel that answers prayers! Yep! Heartwarming Christmas miracle!!
I usually prefer black & white movies over the colorized version. However, this black and white is poor quality with many scratches and skips (unless you get your hand on the digitally remastered black & white).
I’d recommend the colorized version with the new name of “A Christmas Wish”.
Lillian says, “Good, like the colorized version better, the beginning is funny, it mentions Christmas, and my favorite character is Rosalinda.
November 23 2018:
Team TLC extra movie night – “It’s A Wonderful Life” – A tradition for us to watch every Thanksgiving night. We’re one day late this time around!
I say, “I adore this movie. Heartwarming and a beautiful reminder for anyone who needs reminding that life is wonderful.” Quote from the movie, “No man is a failure who has friends.” – Clarence, the Angel
Thomas says, “I liked it, like every year.”
Lillian says, “Good for Christmas, favorite character is Mary, like the music, good, and like the moral of never give up.”
November 17 2018:
Team TLC Movie Night: Lillian’s choice – “The Sound of Music” – A tradition every November/December.
Lillian says, “Good, favorite character is Maria and Liesl, musical, favorite song is the opening song of The Hills are Alive With the Sound of Music, and suspenseful if you haven’t seen it yet.”
I say, “Inspiring!! The Hills Are Alive and the opening scene gives me good yummy feel good goose bumps. Nature is indeed alive!”
November 10 2018:
Team TLC movie night: Thomas’ choice: “It Happened on Fifth Avenue” – This has become a November/December tradition for us. We’ve been watching it for many Holiday seasons now.
Thomas says, “I liked it a lot. More than usual.”
Lillian says, “Good for Christmas, my favorite character is Trudy, my favorite scene is when they’re all singing around the tree, and I liked the music.”
I say, “A philosophizing hobo who brings the Christmas spirit to anyone he befriends. Heartwarming story. Just love watching it.”
November 3 2018:
Team TLC Movie Night – My choice: “The Private Eyes”
I say, “Just a ridiculous movie starring Tim Conway and Don Knotts. Silly, bumbling goofballs.”
Thomas says, “It could have been better. It wasn’t exactly riveting.”
Lillian says, “Suspenseful and good for Halloween.”
October 31 2018:
Team TLC Halloween tradition movie night: “Arsenic and Old Lace”
Thomas says, “It was good, as usual.”
Lillian says, “Good for Halloween, suspenseful, and my favorite character is Elaine.”
I say, “Just love this silly movie!”
October 27 2018:
Team TLC movie night: Lillian’s choice – “ Song of the Sea” … We’ve seen this in years past; yet, Lillian wanted to watch it again.
Lillian says, “Good, fairly good for Halloween, musical, favorite character is the mother, good moral, and suspenseful.”
I say, “Beautiful tale of saving the spirit world and saving the world of magic.”
