Our daily after dinner walk had to be postponed tonight due to the smoke. So, we had a dance party instead! Dazz Band, Aretha Franklin, and KC and the Sunshine Band … and Team TLC! ♡

It’s blurry but this is an amazing and wonderful picture … Lillian has not been able to blow out candles in the past. She blew out ALL 12 candles yesterday on the very 1st blow!! That’s why it’s blurry! I thought I was gonna get a chance to take more than one! HA!!! Wish I had got all of Thomas in the background! He was so excited for her and jumping for joy! He ran over and gave her a hug … he was so HappY for her!! Here’s a video from January 2011 of her blowing out a candle for the 1st time …. You can see how difficult it was for her! Wahooooooooo Lillian!!

The purge before packing has begun! 11 bags of books to take to Grassroots Books! Suggested to Thomas and Lillian that we each get to pack one box of books taking the rest for credit at GB and they liked the idea! This feels good! Wahoooo!

Just back from Lillian’s bday celebration at school! I arranged for Ashton the Magician to perform for them! They loved it! I love being around kids when they are laughing so hard like that & completely in awe of his tricks!! Thanks Linda McLean for that connection!!!!

The packing and purging continues today! I’m accidentally lightening the load! Seem to be breaking at least one thing a day! My gripper needs some adjustment! Less stuff to pack …. I like that! I’m thinking I may invite all y’all over when I’m done and let you go shopping for anything you’d like … Simply can’t take it all with us and I don’t want to either. Y’all have been so kind and supportive! Will let you know if, when and how that unfolds … xoxo

Those AWESOME Romano people headed back home this morning!! Definitely a tad bit lonely around here today; but that’s overridden by feeling GRATEFUL and BLESSED that we got to spend one whole week with them . . . Team TLC loves them Romano people to pieces!!

WooooooHooooo y’all! Lillian just blew out a 3 wick candle . . . one wick at a time . . . and it took quite some time . . . but she blew them out all by herself! YAY Lillian! (She said to add that it was hard!)

Man, our household got the not so lovely gift of a stomach virus for Christmas! Ickkkkkkkk! I was the second one hit so I’m starting to come out of it, 3 more to go! Nausea has got to be one of THE worst sickness feelings out there! Whew! Just glad to be on the other side of it!

One step closer to having the storage unit empty and having everything condensed into this beautiful, comfy, cozy 810 square foot love shack! Everything is out except for a couch that the Salvation Army is scheduled to pick up, and a desk, chair and filing cabinet; which will come here as soon as I get rid of the hide-a-bed couch. Plus, a few boxes in Mom n Frank’s storage unit which I’ll soon go through and purge. YAY, YAY, YAY!!!!

Quinoa meatloaf tonight!! Chopped some fresh spinach into tiny pieces and snuck in it too! Shhhhh!! Don’t tell Lillian! They both loved it! YAY!!

A welcome and cherished reminder from the girls at Urban Sparrow.

Live in the moment and Different iz Good nestled snuggly with a perfect heart. Many months ago I connected with the Urban Sparrow gals with the intention of having them make Different iz Good necklaces as a fundraiser for the DIG 501(c) 3 …. I wasn’t able to pay for the initial proof and the idea didn’t move forward.

Monica McDivitt must have shared with them about my situation …. as I just got this in the mail sent with their love! Y’all all bless me so much I’m overflowing with love! I shall wear this EVERY day until TEAM TLC is in our new home … as a reminder of love, believing in dreams and that doing it different is absolutely, positively OKAY! If you get any spending money for Christmas, please visit the Urban Sparrow gals as a percentage of sales from select jewelry goes to nonprofits.

Another Summer Sunday of the #TeamTLC #purge and clean fest is coming to an end with the garage checked off!

Five years is long enough for the beautiful tea set I got in England back in 2000 and the set of China from my mammaw Downs. Bringing em out to play! What the heck good are they doing packed up where no one can enjoy them? Don’t give a flying pickle if they get broken … they are just dishes, after all. Getting rid of the 2nd set of dishes we have been using. Goodwill will put them to good use! Love it when I’m in the mood to get rid of stuff!
