Throwback Post: Still Sane With a Package of Happiness

August 4 2012:

My Chromosome 18 Family (and all parents of kids with special needs) will love, appreciate and GET this ….. My Mom, Patty Romano, just said to me, “I don’t know how you are still sane?”

My response, “You think I’m still sane?” Hahahahaha!!! I’m kinda crazy like that … Join em in their World or not … our choice ….

I just may write a blog post on this one … This has turned into a morning long conversation. Today’s BrainPop was about Memorial Day and mourning. He asked what mourning means …. Then said he never wants Lillian to die and his eyes started “sweating” (as he calls it). He also got very sad about our family cat not being with us any longer. She was put down back in 2009 or 2010.
May we ALL remember to think and live like when we were a kid and to fully embrace every single moment with our loved ones!

HappYness and Beauty of Christmas

Y’all … Thomas was so excited he wrote an entire little book full of his own Christmas season quotes right after our movie was over last night (Barbie version of A Christmas Carol)! Said he felt like crying tears of joy!! Here’s a couple more of his quotes:

“Not only keep the seasons spirits bright but BE the spirit. Presents are not the real gifts but the real gift is YOU. You don’t always have to celebrate Christmas at home because you can be out helping the homeless people. Sometimes you like Christmas so much that you never ever let the Christmas spirit leave you.” -Thomas ….

This from a child who has not been taken shopping once during this “season”, has not seen me go shopping for anything and the only presents under the tree are home made gifts …. I think I like this little boy!! -Camilla
