October 4 2016:

Thomas and Camilla September 2016 Date Day … a wee bit late! An after dinner walk in our favorite place (Damonte Ranch Park) and then dessert.

We experienced THE MOST amazing banana split I’ve ever tasted at SouthCreek Pizza. Banana, two scoops chocolate gelato, one scoop vanilla bean gelato, topped with Mike’s Hot Honey.

I absolutely loved the spiciness in the honey combined with all the sweet. Thomas kinda liked it. He licked the bowl. Now we must go back and try one of their pizzas!!! Yum!!

Would Anyone Believe?

September 6 2016:

Thomas and Camilla August 2016 date day …. (Our date day got postponed by a few days as Thomas was sick!)

Little Washoe Lake …. “Would anyone believe that playing with sticks and walking and splashing in the water would be so fun?” -Thomas. This was an impromptu stop as we drove right by on our way home from Carson City. And it was Thomas’ idea …. Kinda. As I had just thought, we should stop by the lake. Hmmm.

The wind was blowing like crazy and I accidentally took the first two pictures of the sky! My phone takes random pictures as this case doesn’t quite fit it properly. They turned out awesome!

Thomas told me he was having so much fun and was so happy we stopped. I sat in the sand and watched him a while and then he asked me to join him. And I did. Took off my shoes and walked and splashed with him.

July 2016 Date Day with Lillian

August 10 2016:

July’s date day was delayed due to our travels to and from the 2016 Chromosome 18 Conference. So we did something different for this date day.

After dinner Lillian and I headed to Whole Foods to pick out a cookie from the “Cookie Bar” … cheapest dessert ever …. and made with real food ingredients!

Next up we took our cookies to Audrey Harris Park so we could eat with a lovely view. When we got there, we saw the park was closed due to an event down below at the Bartley Ranch stage. We decided to go for a walk around Bartley Ranch and have our dessert later.

We enjoyed a wonderful time looking at the old equipment and buildings, trees, sky, and sunset. After our walk we enjoyed a slow, quiet, and peaceful drive the long way back to our end of town. I just love this drive of taking in all the farms and older houses and simply how peaceful it seems.

Next up was to head to Geiger Way Lookout to enjoy those cookies with a view. It was dark by the time we arrived so the pictures our fuzzy, yet they capture some of the beautiful essence. So incredibly wonderful.

And, last we enjoyed another slow and peaceful drive back home. I’d rank this one up there with one of our most beautiful date days. Simple and wonderful. xoxo

Had the most beautiful date today with the sweetest man I’ve ever met! My little Thomas of course! Went to Rancho San Rafael Park and he loved it (so did I)!!

Lillian and Camilla June 2016 Date Day – Picking out dessert for later and smelling all the yummy soaps. We enjoyed our desserts on the patio then played three games of UNO. Lillian won every game!!

We finished our date by reading together on my bed and Lillian made braids in my hair. I LOVE it when she plays with my hair. Perfect date day …. xoxo

Date day with Thomas … Hiking above Damonte Ranch …. This place is so full of love!!! It’s clear why the wild horses hang out here!

I take Thomas and Lillian on a date day once a month … Thomas and I went hiking above Damonte Ranch High School today! Fun, peaceful, inspiring, windy, calm, hot, cold, lots of discovering stuff, using imagination, talking about how it makes us feel being up so high, looking at the view and feeling our oneness with nature.

No matter what, we still have our planned date day!! 😉 Thomas and Camilla June 2016 Date Day …. He wanted sushi …. And a scoop of peanut butter ice cream for dessert.

Thomas and Camilla June 2016 Date Day … Thomas’ choice -Geiger Way Lookout …. So beautiful and the wind was blowing like crazy! It was a windy, peaceful, cicada filled, and wonderful end to our date!

Dessert and Books and Pottery

July 16 2015:

Date day with Lillian yesterday. Went to Haven on Earth Bakery for dessert then to grassroots books and then for a real quick stop at Pottery Barn to window shop.

Then home for dinner. Afterwards we went to Virginia Foothills park. Went for a walk, and I read them the nighttime book there while the sun set. It was so beautiful. LOVED it. So peaceful and inspiring. Just filled me up. It simply felt magical walking around the field the last time by myself. so quiet. So still. Really felt one with the trees and the birds, bushes and flowers.
