June 8 2016:
It was my choice for family activity tonight. My favorite part was what I chose to close with … We visited the Bird Language website from a book I’m reading and listened to all the different songs and variations of many different birds to see which we recognized …. Cuddled on the couch with Thomas sitting behind me and Lillian sitting beside me … Thank you and I’ll have more please. xoxo
June 9 2016:
And just when you think you have nothing left to purge, you remember about a few more items …. So long 21 piece tea set. I’ve enjoyed your beauty tremendously.
Ever since you chose me to come home with from England 16 years ago. You certainly get around! Safe travels to Franklin, Tennessee and may you enjoy your new home!!

He’s been wanting me to take him to open a savings account …. For months! Done!!!!! He got to sign his name. Apparently that’s a big deal!! He was so excited.
June 10 2016:
Thomas has been asking and asking me to finish this post for him and share it. Done!! A Leaf at Sunset and a Nature Box set and Pre-Ordering The Grand Adventure of the Biggest Little Photographer book! His creativity and imagination are inspiring!
Today was library day!! But first, they went for a swim.
Two moments of life lived while reaching goals and realizing dreams. xoxo
June 5 2016:
Just came across this video Thomas made in June 2014 to showcase the first 90 days of his 365 photo a day project. He presented to his classmates about it before summer vacation in 2014.
It’s long at 5 minutes yet it was a fun trip down memory lane! We’ll be making a shorter version as a book trailer in the next few weeks. Hopefully he’ll have books in hand in about 2 months! YAY!! You can now pre-order the book! … xoxo ….

July 8 2015
Wonderful walk again last night with Thomas and Lillian. T asked if he could stay barefoot for the walk and at first I said no. Then changed it to yes. So glad I did as I loved watching him splash in the puddles and walk through the sprinklers.
We talked about choices we had made that day and how they affected us and others. Thomas chose to talk about his choice to go barefoot. He is happy with his choice and glad he made it. I asked how it affected others and he said it made us happy to watch him splashing. And Lillian chimed in that she didn’t like him splashing her but she did like watching him. So I asked if there were changed he would make in the future. He said he would make sure we were further away next time.
Lillian talked about the choice to lay down before having her bath. It didn’t help her stomach so next time she would choose to go ahead and get in the tub as that did help.
I talked about my choice to be silly with the word choices for scattagory game. What you do when you wake up in the morning: Gag, Gallop and Grow. Made us all laugh and the game be not so serious. My other topic to talk about was the choice I made to let Thomas go barefoot. Happy I did as it brought joy to all of us.

Lillian’s Dream Last Night
She dreamed about reflecting about the past seasons (spring, winter, etc). I asked her what she thought the dream meant. She said that it meant to reflect on her current life. xoxo
May 31 2016:
Thomas and I had a conference call about his book this afternoon. After comparing the three different ways (Createspace, Blurb, and Local Publisher) to publish his 365 day photography project, we decided to go with the local publisher here in Reno.
We’ve got some work ahead of us to give them an idea of the layout, the introduction, captions and quotes. They have created a “Thomas Student Discount” to make the set-up do able for us.
When I committed to him that I’d create a book out of this project if he stuck with it, I had NO idea how I’d pay for it. For some reason, I have this ability not to let that stop me from pursuing projects (D iz for Different would never have been published if I let that be a project crusher).
I am still amazed and just plain giddy when things line up for projects to come to life. The “Thomas Student Discount” and some other “just for us” accommodations to make this happen is simply magical. We will still need a wee bit of funds to get it going, yet the remainder can be paid with royalties. YAY Thomas!!! xoxo
April 10 2015:
Had to make an emergency stop at Kohls this morning to get Thomas a pair of sneakers before more hiking at camp. His old pair got huge holes yesterday and put holes in his socks!
Thank you to the cashier as when I told him that I didn’t have time to look for coupons as this was an unexpected stop, and asked if he could get the price down for me; he did just that! From $54 to $33! Grateful, grateful!!
Thomas is showing off his wound from yesterday that he got while playing kick ball.

Stopped in Whole Foods to get some cheese for our nachos tonight. The cashier asked, “What’s Chromosome 18?” I happily gave her a mini lesson on DNA and how the C18 Registry came to be. That’s the second time a WF cashier has asked me about it. The employees there are ALWAYS so friendly and kind.
April 10 2014:
“What’s a pop tart?” … Thomas asks me yesterday in the grocery store. I so dig that young man!! xoxo
Although I ate them growing up, I’ve never bought pop tarts for him. He doesn’t even know what they are. HA!
