She began teaching me about acceptance and flexibility before I even met her … She has taught me about courage, expectations, improvising, and embracing uncertaintity … She has taught me by life lessons I choose to teach her …
Because of her and her brother I choose to make my way through cobwebs and clear some crud from my own childhood and youth that no longer serve me … Because of her I am conscious of the decisions and behavior I model … Because of her I thoughtfully choose the words I use with her and in front of her as I know, she and her brother too will one day be adults and I want what they experience in childhood to benefit them …

The Big Pool

I love pools.
Once I get used to Pools. I like it as long as it has stairs. The pool has water. The pool is square or circle. You can swim and play in the pool. You can splash in the pool. The pool water sparkles in the sun. Everything reflects in the pool water.

Heard some Rolling Stones this morning … always makes me think of my Daddy …. here I am visiting him with my big hair in 1992 down in Nawlins … Without knowing it, Daddy taught me there’s usually a way around, over, under or through rules!! Memories: Estelle and Arthur Mann and Motel 6 and a DJ
Just heard a song that brought back warm and fuzzy memories of my Mammaw & Arthur Mann … After my step-grandpa, Arthur, retired from construction work over in Nigeria they weren’t ready to settle down and still wanted to travel. So they took on the task of motel management for the Motel 6 chain … they were at a different location about every 6 months. It was such fun to visit them while they were doing this … One of their front desk employees when they were in Helena, Montana was also a DJ … Guess hearing this song that he played on one of his DJ’ing shifts brought these fun memories to the surface!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ you Mammaw and Arthur!! Miss talking and visiting with y’all and love the memories we created!!
