Celebration Dinner and Snuggling

Celebration dinner. Marsala chicken, mashed potatoes, garlic cheese bread and caesar salad. Got our “Welcome to High Desert Montessori” message for next school year for Thomas and Lillian!!! YAY!!! Here’s to Team TLC!!

Pure BLISS …. Snuggling with Thomas and Lillian on the patio last night as the stars became visible and darkness approached, talking about the stars and listening to all the sounds … I’m grateful for these little moments. Life blossoms when we stop and soak in the precious gifts it holds for us … Happy Saturday Y’all!!

I am blessed to have both Thomas and Lillian in my life … They have taught and continue to teach me so much about the true meaning of life.

Thomas Vaulting Spring 2014

Thank you Barbara Chastain and Center for Adaptive Riding for the Vaulting scholarship for Thomas. He had a GREAT first day and I enjoyed sweeping the clubhouse as part of my giving back. What a wonderful, warm and cozy space to spend an hour and a half!

What is this feeling she wraps me with and pours into me? What is a word that encompasses love, joy, peace, gratitude, beauty, the knowing that everything is amazing no matter what’s going on?

Grumpiness

“Getting to the Bottom of Grumpiness”

One Sunday not too long ago, I was in a downright grumpy mood. Thomas and Lillian had joined in on the grumpiness. The tension and angst in the air was as thick as mud.

I completely disconnected from being mindful or even attempting to connect with this emotion. I ultimately decided to excuse myself and go for a much needed walk to connect with this grumpiness so as to release it.

Monkeys and Farewells and Success

Tonight’s dinner conversation … Thomas wants to grow up to be a monkey so he can hang out with Jane Goodall. He’ll also own a restaurant that serves humans and monkeys and that will give her more to study about him. He will also moo instead of making monkey noises, giving her even more to study.

After dinner as Lillian is drying the silverware, each piece became a doll once the towel was wrapped around it. Each doll had a 5-10 minute conversation with Thomas. He is something else! Didn’t miss a beat and was talking with genuine interest with each one. Here’s my one word … Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Here’s to our last dinner in this wonderful home! We have enjoyed every minute of living here and we are full of an eternal gratitude that we got to live here! May the joy continue in this house for we are taking our fabulousness, awesomeness, and HAPPINESS with us wherever we go and everywhere we go! ♡

In the midst of my mind telling me everything is going dead wrong, I receive messages that everything is actually going dead right! Coming in a future issue of Success magazine …. a full page article on the Success for Teens class I taught at HDMS.

Can’t wait to share the news with the school and students! This picture I took feels so powerful to me. Looks like a clenched fist and arm rising out of the dark cloud into the light. Let go. Rise above the past. No longer give power to  old stories. Anything is possible. Release it all. –Me ♡

Reading and Miracles

Thomas says as he’s reading a book …. “Once I learn about something it seems more fun and cool!” He is such a blessing!

He picked a flower (dandelion) this afternoon for one of the young fellows at Lillian’s therapy center. This little guy works so hard at getting the slightest movement from his legs and feet. Thomas sees how hard he works every Tuesday doing something that most of us never give a second thought too once we learn it as toddlers.

Walking is a miracle …. Miracles are happening every second of every day …. ♡

Spring Break Camping and The Police

April 3 2014: Camp has been made at the TLC Campgrounds. It was hard work and now we are eating our first dinner while camping. No worries y’all. That’s a battery operated lantern and we won’t be using the grill “inside” the campgrounds!! Hahahaha!! Up next is a fun game of badminton. Let the camping adventure begin!!

Coconut Bread

Yes! Team TLC is up past 10:30 cooking Coconut bread! Couldn’t find the loaf pan in this place so had to use a square baking dish instead. Oh well! We like it!
