Throwback Post: Word of the Day With Fairy Spells and a Pirate Wench With Good Music and Books

**THROWBACK POST**

October 27 2015:

Thank you Barbara Richmond Chastain for making me aware of this website! And, thank you Abbi Holtom Whitaker for sharing the idea of a word of the day to live by. Last week, I thought, “I want a word of the day suggested to me everyday so Team TLC can start incorporating this.” Not too long after I had this thought, Barbara sent me a card from this website. I LOVE LOVE!! And I love this quote and photo! xoxo

“Love is not a feeling; it is a great power, an Intelligence to which we are all heir and have been forever called.” -ANNE HILLMAN

Throwback Post: Out to Eat With Improvising and Playing

**THROWBACK POST**

October 30 2011:

Finally eating here … Heard so many good things!!

Waiting for our yummy food!!

Improvising … Line was too long at Nevada Discovery Museum!! No Halloween candy but much more peaceful!! Lights!! It was crazy . . . I could not figure out why people were standing in that line! My kids were disappointed but they didn’t want to stand in that line. Going by Audrey Harris Park was my save for Thomas. He loves going there. Lillian didn’t care one way or the other and they each got a piece of candy when we got home since we didn’t do what we had planned.

Throwback Post: Goodbye Turning Views Foundation

**THROWBACK POST**

November 1 2013:

Little update regarding The Turning Views Foundation and Different iz Good.

“As of September 2013 we are no longer a 501(c)3. This endeavor needed and deserved more time, love and funds than I was able to give to it. However, we had a GREAT response during our 3 years and gifted either an iPad, iTouch or iPhone to about 20 recipients who were in need! This website and blog will stay live and we will continue to spread the Different iz Good message. In fact, I foresee a Different iz Good book in the not so distant future. I will be asking for your stories.”

Love, Love, Love to all y’all! xoxo

Throwback Post: It’s Not a Bad Thing

**THROWBACK POST**

October 30 2013:

Thomas has been on a roll lately.

The other night before bed he said he had been tired that morning and that was a bad thing (he was grumpy, grumpy, grumpy). I suggested to him that being tired is not a good thing or a bad thing, it just is. Adding that by looking at it as bad, it was causing him irritation. If he were to say to himself, I’m tired and that’s not good or bad. It’s just tired, then the irritation can’t and won’t be there. Told him he could use that with anything, not just being tired. I could almost see the tension release from his body!

He always seems to bring up topics at just the moment when I need a reminder too! Sailing on through this learning/living/parenting journey y’all.
