Lillian and Camilla February 2021 Date Day

Part 1: Fries and garlic knots from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno, with a salad made by me. First time having the garlic knots …. Delicious!!!

We already knew we love their fries. I’m so thrilled to have this amazing restaurant so close to us!!! Snickerdoodle cookie for Lillian for dessert, heirloom sea salt chocolate for me.

Part 2: A walk on one of our favorite walking trails. Thomas learned to ride a bike on this trail. Many memories here. They sneak up and grab you when you least expect it. ❤️❤️❤️

Today was the Lillian and Camilla January 2021 Date Day

We had fries from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno for lunch. Their fries are THE BEST!! Plus, they have a vegan option!! 😋😋😋 Forgot to take a photo of the fries! We ate them too fast!

Later we drove to pick out a dessert. Vanilla macaroon for Lillian and blueberry scone for me. The scone is incredibly delicious. 😋😋😋

We ended with a stop at the library. Even though it’s still closed, Lillian wanted to spend a few minutes in the garden behind it. We’ve frequented that little garden since she was 5 years old. ❤️❤️❤️ It was bitterly cold as we’ve got warnings of a blizzard approaching, so we didn’t stay long. 💙💙💙

French fries from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno for both of us, with a Trader Joe’s spicy lentil wrap for me. ❤️😋❤️

Dessert of a white chocolate dipped cookie for Lillian and a couple of squares of this amazing new chocolate I just discovered at Trader Joe’s. 🖤😋🖤

Then we took a walk in one of our favorite places, followed by a drive around our old neighborhood. 💜💐💜

Fries from Ike’s and lemon cheesecake cookie from Whole Foods for Lillian. Fabulous French onion from GreatFull Gardens and Coconut Bliss chocolate walnut brownie “ice cream” for me.

A beautiful drive to Audrey Harris Park, stop to take in the beauty, and a wonderful drive back home.

Fries and dessert at Team TLC Casa with our lovely sky view (bonus watching the massive amount of ongoing construction as they finish the clubhouse and pool along with the remaining buildings).

Fries from Burger Me for Lillian with a snickerdoodle cookie from Great Full Gardens. Peanut butter chocolate chip cookie for me.

We may continue the date after dinner. We shall see what Ms. Queen for the Day wants.

Part 2: An after dinner drive around South Reno.

Lillian and Camilla February 2020 Date Day

First stop was for fries to share, a butterfly cookie for Lillian, and giant vegan ginger cookie for me.

Second stop was a beautiful walk, with a final stop for a bit of window shopping. xoxo

I deeply appreciate all the love being sent Lillian’s (our) way. It may look like all is well in these photos. Yet, the struggle continues. Tomorrow will be one week out from me ruining her life (as she sees it), one week out from me making a decision in the best interest of her mental and physical safety. Things are definitely better than last Friday. Yet, it’s slow going.

Deeply proud of Thomas throughout this entire ordeal. A younger sibling who stepped into the role of an older sibling this past week. As much as I tried not to have the maddening aspect of this, along with the sadness of this situation leak out of my eyes and heart to him, it happened. And he comforted me. Thank you Thomas. I love you.

Lillian and Camilla January 2020 Date Day … (a little late)

First stop was a wonderfully warm walk around the lake.

She and I have had an incredibly rough day. One of the toughest, roughest parenting days I think I’ve had to date. Please send us love and good juju that she eventually understands and accepts the decisions I’ve had to firmly help her make today. She is not happy with me and is deeply sad … xoxo

Second stop was for fries for us to share, with a lovely heart shaped cookie for Lillian, and yummy piece of dark chocolate with pink Himalayan salt for me.

Next was Barnes & Noble so as to use a gift card Lillian got for her graduation. Last was a quick stop for a few more minutes of window shopping.
