Happy Father’s Day 2023

Happy Father’s Day to Frank. I’m grateful for having you in my life for the past 35 years. You’re just the absolute best! ❤️❤️❤️ We’ve spent the afternoon laughing with The Romano Duo! Laughter is so fun.

I found a 1960’s postcard that pictures the bowling alley that Frank’s dad owned at that same time, paired with a few of the pencils from the bowling alley that we already had. (Last pictures) The bowling alley is pictured on the upper right of the postcard.

Happy Father’s Day to my daddy. Every time I hear The Rolling Stones, it always makes me think of you.

Here I am visiting him with my big hair in 1992 in New Orleans. And a selfie he took today in Florida.

Without knowing it, he taught me there’s usually a way around, over, under or through rules!! Love you Daddy … thanks for always being there for me!

Just back from a walk in this harsh wind we’re getting … sat for about 30 minutes and pondered and soaked in the beauty and felt the wind … Thankful to get to enjoy walks in nature and soak it all in … Big hug and smile y’all!!

Infectious and Inspiring Bravery – Thomas Darnell

I’m late posting this, but the last day of 11th grade and last day of first year of college was Monday for Thomas. Here are some recycled photos since I’m rarely allowed to photograph Thomas. 🤣😂🤣

I’m super proud of Thomas, and honored to get to be Thomas’s Mom. Thomas’s bravery is infectious and I am one hard core fierce Mom supporter, defender and advocate! I’ve been slowly handing matters over to Thomas so they can leave the nest on good footing to do adulting! I hope! 😜😜😜

I’m in my last year of Thomas living at home. Feels wild to even think about. Up next is senior year and second year of college. I did it! We did it!! You did it, Thomas! 💋❤️💥🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻💥❤️💋

Throwback Post: Thanksgiving in Vegas With LEGO at Red Rock Canyon

In unpacking the Christmas decorations, Thomas found a few gift boxes I saved from last year (or the year before even). One box still had the gift inside. Three brand new pairs of undies for Lillian! Oops!!! They may not fit her if they’re from year before last. Note to self: Check them boxes twice before packing them away!

Over the hills and through the woods, Team TLC has made the long ole 5 minute drive to The Romano Casa … smelled so good on the way here with cranberry sauce, green bean casserole and sweet potato fries in the car with us! Yum!

Team TLC and Romano Duo Thanksgiving night tradition …. one of the few PG movies I’ll let T & L watch! Good thing I have it memorized so I can make silly noises over the not-kid-friendly words!

Thomas finished the treehouse this morning! This one and the cottage are my favorites so far!

I’m grateful for Grassroots Books $5 bag sale this Sunday! Team TLC gets to load up THREE big bags of books for $5 since Thomas and Lillian each have a $5 gift card!! Wahooooo!!!! I’m kinda crazy like that ….. I’m so excited about going and looking through tons and tons of used books to fill up my bag!! Can’t Wait!

What’s “interesting” is that not even a month after this I won a semester of classes at a local acting/dance/theater agency and Thomas did indeed take some acting classes!!

Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone With Poetry

I stepped out of my comfort zone big time tonight. While Thomas was in their 6:00pm appointment, instead of sitting in the car for an hour, I drove 5 minutes to Shim’s Speakeasy.

This was my first time here, and I loved it. The atmosphere and the people were awesome. Plus!!! They have Guinness 0. Woohoo! I was only able to stay for an hour, but I plan on going next Monday, and I can stay for the full spoken poetry event, getting myself on the stage. 😱Thursday looks like fun with Old Skool Music. Yay me!! 💖💋💖
