September 17 2009:

Something is telling me I must share what is happening in my little corner of the world. Partly because I am so overwhelmed with all the greatness and good things that I must share it with others or I will explode! Partly to inspire & encourage others to Never Give Up massaging, working at and connecting the dots of your purpose AND sharing it with the world.

Since the eWomenNetwork Conference in Dallas in August (and it began on the last day of the conference), dots have been connected that needed to be connected and I have come into and accepted my Purpose, Message and what I have to share with the world.

Back in November 2007, something was tellin me that I needed to learn about this stuff called blogging. I dove right in and haven’t looked back. From blogging to Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and all things Social Media. At the same time I knew that Lillian had something to do with all of this. Just didn’t know what.

I have finally figured it out and accepted it!! I am a voice for those that don’t have one. I will empower the speech impaired to the very best of my ability. I will be a thought leader and pioneer of how the speech impaired can use Social Media to have a real time voice for connecting with others, being a part of the conversation, working or being an entrepreneur in a way they have never been able to in the past. I will inspire parents and/or caregivers of speech impaired children to utilize Social Media. I will inspire speech impaired adults to utilize Social Media. I have just recently accepted this. I have stopped holding myself back because “no one cares about this message” or “how will this pay the rent & buy food” (things I told myself). And, oh my goodness, the things that happen when you accept and focus and make all of your decisions according to whether or not they further your purpose!

There’s a Blog World & New Media Expo in Las Vegas in October at which many well known Social Media “stars” will be speaking and mingling. I knew I needed to be at this event and just did not have the money to pay for it. I kept it in my daily folders to keep it on my mind. The cutoff for the reduced price was September 14th. On about the 11th, I entered a contest to win a pass to the Expo (by leaving a comment as to why I wanted to attend). On the evening of September 13th I received an email message that I had WON the pass to attend the Expo.

Next, at the eWomenNetwork event last tonight our speaker’s topic was “Power-Up Your Purpose!” She was fantastic and I felt as though she were talking directly to me. I WON an autographed copy of her book and a one hour coaching session with her. That’s not all!

Last Thursday at the Vino 100 wine tasting for the 3 Day Breast Cancer Fundraiser, I met & talked a great deal with a fabulous woman who owns some virtual office suites about 7 minutes from my house. I visited her website & thought, “Now, that’s what I need right now and how can I access that facility?” At the eWn event tonight as part of the raffle she was giving away a 1 year Corporate Prestige Virtual Office Package. I thought, oh my goodness, I’m going to win that. Bought me some raffle tickets and there ya go! I won it!

These are just 3 examples of the things & events that are happening for me on an almost daily basis!

I will absolutely continue to help business owners set-up, automate & be involved in Social Media as this goes hand in hand with my message above!

We shall see where this journey takes me . . . . The Things & Events That Happen When You Discover Your Purpose and Accept It . . . . . I’m just sayin’

WooHoo!!

Throwback Post: Are You Grateful

**THROWBACK POST**

September 17 2013:

Overcooked chicken, almost burned fries and yummy pasta for dinner, some sort of racing/speed walking game with Thomas and Lillian, golf with a pinwheel and piece of chalk for the ball, being decorated with imaginary clothes, sparkles and tattoos by Lillian, shadows and streamers, reading a chapter of Heidi to Lillian, reading the story of “America the Beautiful” and about water bugs with Thomas, 20 minutes of goodnight rituals, one bowl of hot buttered popcorn for Mama …. and I’m going to bed overflowing with gratitude. Grateful we have food to cook, a back yard to play in, amazing imaginations, books to read, laughter and tickles and pillows and beds to sleep in …. and grateful for my little family! Sweet dreams y’all!

**THROWBACK POST**

September 22 2013:

Gorgeous sky tonight and two absolutely amazing young people too …. Busy cleaning their rock finds from today! I wonder how many boxes we’ll need for all the rocks we have? My heart overflows and drips with love for these two …. xoxo

Thomas is 5 years old, full, full, full of energy, has a great heart, exhibits some beginning leadership qualities and needs a bit of guidance and direction in some areas. If you or someone you know has been wanting to have a positive impact on a young person and think you are qualified send me a message. I’ll fill you in on more details. Mama Bear will thoroughly interview and check out anyone interested! Thanks y’all!

Throwback Post: I Have Got To Do This

**THROWBACK POST**

April 5 2011:

Three concepts for all of us to ponder . . .  The first concept is that of choices.

Do you live each day thinking, “Well, I’ve got to do this and I’ve got to do that”.  Or, “I’ve got no choice in the matter?”  Or, do you live each day thinking, “If I choose this one, then this will happen and if I choose this one, then that will happen.”  I CHOOSE this! Do you say “I HAVE to do this, that or the other” or do you say “I WANT to do this that or the other …. ”

Dares, Choices and Changing the World

Throwback Post: Intestinal Fortitude and Perseverance

**THROWBACK POST**

September 22 2012:

Thank you Luther for the touching and moving review on Amazon … totally made my eyes sweat …

“My wife and I read a chapter of D iz for Different each day after our lunch. We have a granddaughter, Irene McKay Moran, with the same Chromosome 18p- abnormality and Camilla’s daughter. Reading this book my wife and I were struck by the intestinal fortitude and perseverance of Camilla as she faced each differently-abled situation. During my years of military service I did not experience anyone with more determination to succeed, no matter the obstacle than that exhibited by Camilla. After retiring from the Air Force I worked for the Division of Social Services for the State of Missouri. Numerous of my clients had “differently-abled” children and were stuck in the “woe is me” rut. Resigned to accept whatever meager handout society would begrudgingly give them. I wish I has had Camilla’s book to give them. Maybe they would have seen what was possible for them and their family. Camilla, you have done a “bang-up job” with this book, and we are certainly glad our daughter Susan has made your acquaintance. Plus we’re glad to have met you at the conference in Indianapolis.”

Throwback Post: Full of Happiness

**THROWBACK POST**

September 27 2013:

Thomas says he’s so full from lunch and so full of HappYness that he’s not hungry! Says he is so full of happy from our “weird” day! HA!

Finally leave the house at about 1:00 for some lunch, get to the place and they only take cash or check. Okay. So we head to a different place and we are all so hungry we eat absolutely EVERYTHING we ordered! Then go next door for gigantic gluten free cupcakes! Then stop at the Atlantis for the NCET Entrepreneur Expo where Thomas and Lillian get to meet tons of people who know them from facebook! HA!

As we are leaving one of the exhibitors gives Lillian two gigantic bundles of balloons! Thought she was gonna float away! That was interesting stuffing those in my car too! YES! That was a kinda weird day Thomas and I’m so blessed that it added to your HappYness! Now, for dinner! We are all so full I’m only making homemade garlic fries … and .. that’s … IT! Let’s hear it for DIFFERENT days!

Lillian drew this with chalk outside. I asked what’s the stuff on the sides of the heart. It’s a girl heart!!

Bday party for one of Lillian’s friends at Build a Bear in the mall.

So, since Ms. Lillian won’t touch stuffed animals, Thomas chose the animal and helped with the stuffin.

Lillian chose the name and the clothes. And this monkey, named Lilly, by the way is extra special. It has 2 hearts. One for Thomas & one for Lillian!
