Powerfully Personal and Enlightening – Words of Alchemy

July 12 2020

What a gift to receive this morning before leaving for my hike! I was in tears. Thank you, Bill!

In Words of Alchemy, Camilla Downs invites you to walk with her to share her love of Nature and Life through a free-verse poetry memoir. During her daily strolls she is mindfully present as she delves into life in the raw and experiences her heart’s observations. Camilla embraces what happens when she opens her heart and invites the written words to flow.

Camilla Downs is a powerhouse – a one-person publishing house, selfless promoter of fellow authors, bestseller, blogger, photographer, and mom – the order of which is not prioritized. I met Camilla through online authors’ networks. We swapped books, as you do. And I immediately fell for her story – relatable, inspiring – facing challenges, overcoming obstacles, and being a role model. In other words, a good person. A person who, among other things, fuels her creativity and capacity to give by immersing herself into landscapes – communing with the outdoors, shooting photos, and writing about all of it.

Remote Control Drama With an Unhappy Plumeria

July 5 2020:

In our new place we have a remote control ceiling fan. Someone didn’t think through that residents would be on the same frequency, turning one another’s lights and fan on and off. If you don’t want it on, and a neighbor does, you have to turn it off with the wall switch.

I need my fan on right now neighbors. Please stop turning it off!! So … found the heaviest, closest thing near me and fixed it. They are supposed to be fixing this in the next two weeks. Getting rid of remotes and just having wall switches.

Welcome to the family! This one is currently not happy with me due to overwatering. Hopefully, we reach a healthy-amount-of-water understanding soon.

Another delicious find to share with you. This stuff is so good, I accidentally ate nearly the entire bag at once. Made using the green coconut meat left over from coconuts used for packaging coconut water. Perfect!

This was so pretty, I had to take a photo. Food art!! Courtesy of Great Full Gardens = Stuffed portobello mushroom, with a side of their refried beans, topped with cashew cheese. All I did was add a small salad.
