Anytime is a good time to toast with sparkling mineral water. Especially when you’ve finally, finally, finally been given the key to your new place. And when, after nearly 4 years, Anthem Blue Cross finally decided to refund the $50 that was overcharged, that you spent hours and hours and hours on the phone to get them to refund ….. nearly 4 years ago!

These two stoke the embers of my heart, giving me strength when I wish to be weak. There is no greater gift.

My eyes nearly began sweating when I opened this gift. A magical bird made from recycled material. Beautiful!!

Christmas Eve dinner was a big scoop of the homemade green bean casserole I had just made. Followed by a piece of apple cranberry pie. Christmas dinner was nearly the same, adding a big scoop of my mom’s potato salad. Yum!!! 💚💚💚♥️♥️♥️

Christmas gift from my brother. My eyes got sweaty over this one. And, y’all, I have absolutely no recollection of this, nor of even being this person. I’m smiling though. Always smiling. 😁♥️

Lillian thinks I made a masterpiece with the candy canes. Ha!! The vases are packed so I grabbed the French press container and added the candy canes. The inside of the French press fell apart, and I was wondering what I would do with the glass. Improvise!! ♥️💚

 

 

Placing a Second Order – Words of Alchemy

Moving day approaching …. Again! We finally get to move into our unit on Friday, 12.27. We have definitely enjoyed the lovely view from this temporary place. Yet, we are more than ready to be able to unpack, put things on the walls, curtains up, and make our place into our home.

It’s going to be wild unpacking things that have been packed for about 2 years! I’m positive I’ll be doing a bit of purging! Maybe Thomas and Lillian will join me.

With that approaching, I’m placing a second order of books tomorrow and both orders should arrive not too long after we get moved. The timing is aligning perfectly, as we’ll be done with the final move and I can sit down and concentrate on personalizing and signing the books! Let me know if you want to be included in this round of ordering.

December 28 2019:

I’ve placed the second order and received the first pre-order for a personalised, signed book for a lovely person in the UK. Considering that it costs nearly double the cost of the book to ship to the UK, it is a wonderful compliment and show of support. Should be receiving the first 2 orders in the first 2 weeks of January.

Meeting the Authors – Successful Beginning

Meeting the Authors has had an incredibly successful beginning. The website launched in May 2019 with interviews from the get go. It has been a pleasure to meet such a wide and diverse group of authors from around the world.

Thank you for being a part of the MTA launch and thank you to those who have asked how you can help. Here’s to many more fun and quirky interviews in 2020!

The Poetry of Nature – I DID IT

Just finished reading a great book. Am I prejudice? Maybe a wee bit. All looks good and it’s a go. Should launch this week!

It’s kinda weird. I’m reading along and thinking, “Oh, that’s good. This author speaks to my soul.” And, then, I’m like, “Oh. That’s me.” HA!

Here’s praying and setting intentions that more than 10 people buy the book. Deep gratitude to the few that have pre-ordered!! The poetry of Nature, the poetry of healing, the poetry of appreciation, the poetry of Love … All in one beautiful book!

December 18 2019:

Pressed the publish button today! I’ll be placing the first order in a day or two. If you’d like a personalized, signed one, let me know! I DID IT … Again! Thank you to all for the love and support!

Placed the first order yesterday, placing another today or tomorrow. Wahoo! They could possibly arrive on December 31st. What a GREAT start to the New Year that would be! Official launch will be in beginning to mid January.

Holiday Sibshop for Thomas

Holiday Sibshop on November 22nd for Thomas. Just now getting to post these. Now that Thomas is 14, he can slowly transition to a leadership role in the Sibshops. For now, he wants to remain a participant and transition slowly to a leadership role. He had a blast Diana Beeghly Rovetti!! Thank you for putting these together! (Sibshops are gatherings solely for siblings to brothers or sisters who have different abilities/special needs.) 💜💜💜

The Sparkly, Shiny, Mindful Christmas Tree of 2019

Spent late afternoon until just now getting decorations out. Tree is up, need more lights before we decorate it. Learned this morning that we will be in the temporary place until beginning of January. Huge thank you to Frank and my brother for driving from Dayton to help me unbury the Holiday decorations and find the tree.

December 7 2019:

Finally got the tree decorated last night, sans the topper as we need a new one. We were without internet from 4:30 yesterday afternoon until about 30 minutes ago. It was an opportunity to focus on other tasks and creativity for me, with a huge opportunity for Lillian as this was a disruption to her normal schedule. Minus a few rough patches, she handled it pretty good, even asking me to tell her a story last night. That hasn’t happened in years. Felt good, for all of us.

December 12 2019:

Finally got the advent calendars up. Thomas and Lillian made these about 10 years ago. Each day has a quote of special meaning and a mindful activity from my Mindful Christmas Countdown. Plus, they get their choice of a yummy treat.

December 14 2019:

Figured out a topper for the tree! Our star broke last year. We already had the Santa hat, plus, it’s fun! Lillian and I had the idea about the same time so I knew it was to be.
