Thank you to a new book blogger friend, Kriti of Armed with A Book, for taking part in the cover reveal yesterday. She did a beautiful job and I love how she’s set up her website.
October 4 2019:
She’s a bit overwhelmed with having to sign documents so soon after turning 18. She would like to know who made this rule!!!
It’s taking so long for construction to be finished on the new apartments, she turned 18 while waiting. So …. had to sign the application! Anyone know of a short term place we could rent for the month of November? Our lease here ended the end of August, management let us stay at our old lease rate for September. Had to pay a month to month rate for this month and can’t do that again! 😱 I’m serious if any of my Reno friends have thoughts. Move in just got bumped again to early November at the new place. With their record, I doubt it will be ready.
October 2 2019:
Spotted while volunteering at the library today. Lillian’s favorites are the carriage and peacock. My favorite is the one with the crow. Took the picture of the cat for Thomas. Such cool ideas!

Thomas and Camilla September 2019 Date Day
First stop: Window shopping for costume ideas.
Second stop: Ice cream – Tiramisu and Oktober Fest for Thomas. Pumpkin roasted coconut for me. Oh my! That was so good!
Last stop: Audrey Harris Park to eat our yummy ice cream and then a walk around the loop. Beautiful and gorgeous day and a wonderful and fun date day with Thomas.

The Boy Who Drew Birds – A Story of John James Audubon
(Throwback to 2016)
Another book we enthusiastically enjoyed reading!
Banding a bird, that is, tying a marker around the bird’s leg to track its movement, was an innovative idea in Audubon’s time. In 1804, he became the first person in North America to band a bird.
His simple experiment helped prove homing. He grew to be the greatest painter of birds of all time. He was the first to paint life-size images of birds and the first to show birds hunting, preening, fighting, and flying.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

I say, “Really enjoyed this one. Thomas and I are still making our way through the series. I am having a great time watching these with him. Next up is Iron Man 3.”
