March 2 2018:

Thomas and Camilla February 2018 Date Day (a wee bit late). My phone got so cold that I lost all photos from our date except one!

The one of Thomas with his ice cream from Icecycle Creamery is the only photo that survived. That was our first stop.

Second stop was one of our favorite spots … Audrey Harris Park for Thomas to eat his ice cream with the amazing view. Then we walked the entire loop in the snow. We had it all to ourself, we were frozen, we had a beautiful time enjoying one another’s company, and I took lots of pictures. No matter. I’ve got one!

Then!!! For dinner. More birthday yummies for me plus a toast to the flights of Where Would You Fly.

I knew I was saving this one wine glass for something!! Wine glasses were made for vegan root beer floats!! Coconut Bliss Vanilla Ice Cream smothered with an amazing root beer. Served with a vegan burger topped with sautéed sweet onions, crimini mushrooms, hot & sweet jalapeños, kalamata olives, with a slather of vegan kale, cashew & basil pesto on two slices of Italian bread. I’m full!!

Thomas and Camilla January 2018 Date Day!

Last stop – Quick and short detour to admire this view!!! WOW!!

Next! – A short walk. My favorite part of our date!!

Next stop – Sledding! Thomas is the small speck near the top of the hill in the first picture. He had great fun!

Second stop – Kings Beach … We’ve never stopped at this little park! Just beautiful!! I just love having conversations with Thomas. More and more they are philosophical and I feel so inept! HA! Even though! I adore it!!

First stop – India Kabob & Curry as he requested Indian food. We had India Kabob on a date day years ago so he requested a revisit!
Two plates of assorted vegetarian dishes for me. Loved the peas and potatoes. That was my favorite!!

December 18 2017:

Thomas and Camilla December 2017 Date Day – First stop: Lunch at Great Full Gardens South Meadows Reno.

Courageous Cappuccino to start for me. Followed by a Vegan Reuben. Yum!!!! Great Full Burger and Totally Tomato soup for Thomas.

Last stop: Dessert at Icecycle Creamery. Vegan for me: Coconut nog and Coconut Mint. Thomas had Great Balls of Christmas!!!

In between lunch and dessert: A stop so he could pick out a gift for Lillian.

Followed by a stop at Bartley Ranch Regional Park. He has loved examining and playing with these old tractors since he was 2 years old. Ending with a walk around the entire loop.

November 21 2017:

Thomas and Camilla November 2017 Date Day –

First stop: Washoe Lake. I’ve only been here maybe two other times with no wind. How gloriously beautiful.

I truly needed a deep dose of Mama Gaia today and this was perfect for grounding and processing.

Thomas walked barefoot and dug in the sand. It was perfect for him too. He and Lillian had a huge argument as we were readying to leave.

I sat down, took off my shoes and socks, and slowly buried my feet and hands in the soft, cool sand. I was instantly relaxed and brought into this wonderful moment with Thomas. It’s difficult to even find the words to describe.

Last stop: Ice Cream!! Vegan Coconut Mint and Just Nog for Thomas and Vegan Coconut Mint and Just Chocolate for me! Of all the flavors I’ve ever tasted here, the Coconut Mint tops the list now! Love the texture and flavor – tastes like a Jr Mint candy, only better! We ate our ice cream with the amazing view at Audrey Harris Park.

Thomas also had a half sandwich and I had a cup of potato salad and macaroni salad.

September 21 2017:

Thomas and Camilla September 2017 Date Day – Thomas wanted a sandwich from Icecycle Creamery. He loved how they cut and made a heart shape with it and he enjoyed every bite. I had a few bites of fresh mint ice cream on top of a scoop of chocolate before Thomas claimed it! Yum!

Part 2: A visit to the new VibesUP store. I was drawn into the store this morning and told Thomas about. He wanted to check it out. He LOVED it!!! Amazing store, amazing energy, amazing products, and amazing mother and son running the store.

Then, at Thomas’ request, a rainy walk at Virginia Lake. And last stop was to get Thomas a couple pair of new pants. With this cool weather he put on pants last night and they were way short and a bit tight. Oh my gosh! He’s grown so much since Spring and shorts weather.

August 2 2017:

Thomas and Camilla August 2017 Date Day – Swimming and playing in the amazing, soothing, wonderful, and refreshing Lake Tahoe. We love you Mama Lake.

I’m so glad I was in this amazing spot when I received certain news this afternoon. What a blessing to have this magical and healing lake to absorb and wash energies away. Incredibly grateful and blessed.

July 21 2017:

Thomas and Camilla July 2017 Date Day: Great Full Gardens South Meadows Reno to go!!! Had Little Washoe Lake Beach all to ourselves.

Someone had already pulled the picnic table into the shade and we enjoyed a yummy picnic at waters edge. Another reason I enjoy this restaurant so much. Amazing messages on our food containers!!!

Bonus: Someone else had already attempted making a raft out of fallen limbs. Oh my gosh!! Thomas had fun with that. He wanted to bring it home. I’ve always said “yes” to bringing home sticks, limbs, and rocks. But I don’t think this would fit in the car!! I suggested we put it to the side so it could dry and come back for it later.

We went back just after sunset and got the package he so badly wanted to bring home. It needed to dry out a bit. And, it’s a lot longer than it looks! Almost didn’t fit!!

June 29 2017:

Field trip and Thomas and Camilla June 2017 Date Day.

First stop – Field trip! Tour of Reno Airport Traffic Control Tower arranged by the awesome fellow who is teaching a group of homeschoolers coding and robotics. No pictures allowed inside so this is what we got!!

First we toured Atlantic Aviation’s building and hangars used by private plane owners. Then the control tower. Incredibly interesting and what an amazing view!!!

Next, we headed back to Atlantic to see the coding instructors little airplane. As we were headed back in the building a pilot asked if we wanted to tour a business jet. So, we did that too!!! Thomas enjoyed it …. a lot!!! xoxo … ✈️ … Thank you. And, bring us more, please. xoxo …

Next stop: Humane Society to share love with cats and rabbits. My eyes were sweating with all of the sweet souls with sad eyes asking to be loved.

By the time we left Thomas was feeling pretty sad about the huge number of them. I helped us both by pointing out that they were in a safe and cool place with volunteers and employees who care for and love them.

Then home for lunch! Next was ice cream at Thomas’ favorite ice cream shop. Salted butterscotch for him and 1/2 salted butterscotch and 1/2 dark chocolate for me.

Enjoyed our ice cream at Aubrey Harris park, enjoying the beautiful view. Plus, looking at the Air Traffic Control Tower where we were this morning. You can just barely see it in one of these pictures.

May 15 2017:

Thomas and Camilla May 2017 Date Day ….. Thomas bought us ice cream at Icecycle Creamery.

Vegan Passion Fruit Coconut for me. Yum!!! Thomas had one scoop of Dark n Stormy and one scoop Home Means Nevada.

Enjoyed it with a view at Audrey Harris Park. Then went for a walk around the loop. Tough, yet loving conversation followed by lots of laughs while walking.
