Soft Sounds and Clarity and Pinecones

June 13 2016:

This morning’s walk … I heard soft sounds from the ducks, song birds, and the egret that I’d not heard before. I heard with deeper clarity. Interesting. xoxo

June 14 2016:

Tell me what you like most about today’s walk. He says, “The geese, ducks, and pinecones.” He collected pinecones during our walk last night so he could make a city.

Had my hands full of pinecones … With the imprints still lingering after I put them down when we got home. Magical clouds too! There’s a heart in one of the sky pictures. I’ll let you find it. Such a peaceful and invigorating walk. xoxo

After Dinner Walk

July 7 2015

After dinner we went for a walk and it started raining on us. It was so great. Just loved it. We all loved it!!

TLC on Walk July 2015

Wonderful night afterwards too. Thomas and I played scrabble then we all talked about what we are grateful for and why. Then read, tickled, life story and then bed.

Pelicans and Trees and Sitting

May 29 2016:

Guess what? We went for a walk! Thomas and Lillian finally got to see the pelicans. I kinda love taking pictures …. xoxo

From our walk yesterday … I always find more angles, shapes, and trees I love photographing. xoxo

May 31 2016:

On our walk Tuesday, Thomas and I sat on the bench. We talked, we listened, and we just sat. I kinda love our walks.

June 2 2016:

Guess what? She faced a fear and met a goal she created a couple of months ago. Lillian walked across all 3 foot bridges without holding my arm! She did it. She did it.

She’s on fire! This past Wednesday at PT she climbed to the 4th step on the ladder AND she agreed to have as a goal to go up 2 steps on the stairs in the condo complex where we live, before her next PT appointment.

It’s that time when we switch our afternoon walks to after dinner walks. Had a peaceful, blissful walk with Lillian. Go Lillian!

Sitting and Listening

May 25 2016:

We sat under some trees, listened to birds and ducks, watched birds, ducks, and ducklings. We whispered to each other about what was being said amongst the birds and ducks. We talked about ornithology. Then, we sat quietly and listened. We listened.

Then we continued with our walk, held hands, and talked about others perceptions. Is one walking away from something, or walking to something? Only the one doing the walking knows the truth of it. So …. Never mind the naysayers, those who judge, and those who criticize. Let’s keep walking … What an amazing walk this afternoon with Thomas

Then I made all 3 of us a breakfast dinner while dancing in the kitchen. Can one dance and cook at the same time? Absolutely! Thank you … And I’ll have more.

May 26 2016:

We listened to sound of the leaves being blown by the wind, watched the cute little egret with the yellow feet, listened to the bird chatter, took in the sun sparkling on the water, and got to watch two awesome greater scaups (I think that’s what they were.)

What amazing, beautiful, peaceful, and successful feelings … Listening, watching, sharing quiet time together. Wonderful walk with Lillian this afternoon. So grateful. xoxo

Badminton and Walking and Making Wishes

May 9 2016

Blessings and beauty overflowed yesterday (Mother’s Day). Thomas made a wonderful sign for me, I made a handmade gift for my Momma with rocks, bark, sticks, and recycled materials, we went to the park, and Lillian gave me several dandelions to make wishes with and a beautiful digital card. A lot like a typical day for us, yet I love the way we live our days …. xoxo

Badminton, walking, and making wishes. Yes, please. Thank you …. And I’ll have more. xoxo

You’re Here for a Reason

Thomas and I had our solo walk yesterday afternoon. We held hands, talked about a book he and his friends are writing, watched the goslings, and held hands some more.

We walked by the pool and grills. The pool was pretty crowded and all the grills were being used. So we decided to try again tomorrow and to head over there a little earlier since we won’t be walking.

We had a Team TLC Family Meeting last night too. We discussed the following: (excerpted from Deepak Chopra’s “The Seven Spiritual Laws for Parents”)

“You are here for a reason.”

“Everyone’s life is a fairy tale written by God’s fingers.” ~Hans Christian Anderson

There is a hidden purpose working for our evolution in every event, every action, every thought. The highest goal in life is to find this purpose and live by it.

Awareness is the key to achieving what the universe has planned for you.

1) Where are you right now? …. regarding your purpose and your path

2) Where do you think your going? What is your vision?

3) How do you plan to get there? What is your work on that path.

4) How far do you think you’ve gotten. What is your level of awareness?

5) What do you think is holding you back? What is your present challenge or lesson?

6) Where are we as a family?

Many desires do not immediately come true. Disappointment, discouragement, and frustration are spiritual realities that we do not need to hide from.

There is always some good hidden in uncomfortable emotions.

7) Make a list of your talents.

Talents are given to us by spirit for our happiness and fulfillment.

8) You are invited to do something kind for someone else, however small the gesture might be.

Ideas:

Picking up litter

Opening a door for someone

Helping someone younger

Help someone around the house with chores or things they need to get done

Helping someone else feels good in a way that just doing something for yourself doesn’t.

When you help others, you have an opportunity to appreciate their worth; helping expresses this appreciation directly.

Your duty to society is to serve others.

Your duty to yourself is to unfold spiritually.

“A life of purpose reveals the purpose of life.”

“The universe has a purpose – the fulfillment of human creativity and happiness.”

“Don’t struggle to find out why you are here – just look closer.”

We spent about an hour discussing and it was wonderful! Then, by complete coincidence the book I had chosen for our nighttime reading was “You’re Here for a Reason” … Perfect!!

Quote from the book: “Even the smallest of things that you do blossom and multiply far beyond you. A kindness, for instance, may triple for days …. or set things in motion in different ways. ….. So don’t be too worried if some days fall flat. Good things can happen, even from that.”

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! xoxo

Walk with Lillian this afternoon. Crazy wind, crazy hair, crazy fun!

While walking Lillian told me she’s writing a blog post inspired by the cute little goslings. She says it has to do with mindfulness. Can’t wait to read it! xoxo
