Oh my gosh what a fun afternoon!! I got to sub in Candeleria today … with some FUN 1st-3rd graders! What a GREAT day as it was Community Gathering day. First one of the year and that meant all teachers and aides performed … showing off their talents! Oh my goodness! They were fabulous! Singing, dancing, juggling, ice bucket challenge, belly dancing with a sword … YES! A real sword! Goodness! What an amazing school with talented staff!! Wheeee!

New story from Lillian Darnell …

Once there was a boy named Jack who lived with his mystical family. Jack loved his mystical family but he wished he could have mythical powers like the rest of his family. He felt jealous of his family so one day, he headed off to Magical Unicorn Island.

He stopped at an island called Apple of Music to visit some family relatives. His family relatives said, “Get some rest and watch out for flying manta rays.” And Jack was very confused, about what his relatives said.

But he got some rest for the next day anyways. When Jack woke up the next morning, he was surprised that no one was on the island except for a few little creatures who were called glitter critters.
Jack wondered if he could test out his mythical powers on the glitter critters. He decided to try. So he began to focus and to his surprise, his mythical power made the glitter critter glow and fly for a bit before the power faded into the midst of the magical sun ….

I decided it was about damn time and okay if I just relax, and do nothing. Very hard for me. I’m used to always feeling I’m being useful, researching, advocating for Thomas or Lillian, creating some form of art. Whether it’s writing or creating art in some form, or being out exploring Mother Nature. This is okay, Camilla.

That was The Best “burger” I think I’ve ever had. I love these new-to-me vegan pretzel buns I discovered. They have sausage buns, too. Yes. I bought those, also. They are delicious with a “hot dog” and beans spooned over the top.

Team TLC movie night .. “Seven Days in Utopia” ….

Loved it! “There’s a still inner voice in all of us. See, Feel, Trust. When you find the sweet spot it’s all okay.”

Thomas says, “Extremely good, spiritual, inspiring, happy, fun, exciting, and just plain good.”

Lillian says, “Good, awesome, sporty, fabulous, and good music.”

Me again … My heart is so happy that they like watching these movies with me and that they get it. Thomas just said that he wanted to know if he made the putt. I told him it wasn’t about whether or not he made it. Then he said, “Oh, it’s like when they say it’s about the climb up the mountain and not getting to the top.” Yes! Made my eyes pool with sweat!
