Conscious Socks With Neon Shoes from The Netherlands With Rock Love

February 5 2021

It’s been ages since I bought myself new socks. Finally got the ones I ordered last week. Socks with a conscious! Yes!💥❤️🧡💙💚💜🖤🤍🤎💛💥

February 5 2021

I finally got the new shoes I ordered nearly a month ago. I didn’t realize they were coming from The Netherlands. 😂🤣😂 I also didn’t realize they were neon. Wow! I’ve time traveled back to the 80’s! Now, if I could just have my 80’s body please.

Wore them for my first full 30 minute walk since my back flipped out 3 weeks ago. I started back at 10 minute walks.

Nature made sure to give me a message along the way. 🤍🤍🤍

Snow Globe While Playing the Keyboard On a Balance Stool

January 26 2021

We were in a snow globe this morning …

January 31 2021

Thank you, Gerry Foster McCarroll!! Thomas is ready for his private piano lessons beginning tomorrow! We used to have one of these for many years, passing it on when we moved last year.

Thomas got a new midi keyboard Christmas 2019. With online lessons we needed a non midi keyboard. Friends to the rescue. I love the idea of passing things around to each other, instead of always buying brand new (when it works).

In my mission to hopefully help my back to never do what it did 3 weeks ago, a new desk chair. It’s an adjustable ergonomic active balance stool.

I don’t have a desk yet, I’ll get that next month. I can use this at the kitchen table or the makeshift desk I made using a keyboard stand and piece of wood. I’ve been sitting on the couch working on my laptop for longer than I care to admit. Time to get my rear off the couch. 💥💥💥

Throwback Post: Best and Bestest – Sayings from a Young Thomas and Lillian

(A drawing Thomas made for me in 2013)

“I like using my imagination. It makes games more fun.” -Thomas (11.17.11)

“Can I help you cook dinner?” -Thomas. …. to which I replied, “You can put the dishes in the dishwasher for me”  …. to which Thomas replied,  “I’d be happy to. Let me take my shirt off.” (11.8.11) (Sensory issues!! He still will take off his shirt if it gets water on it!)

“I like you even when you are getting on to me.” -Thomas Darnell (11.8.11)

“I wish to be you when I grow up.” -Lillian Darnell

“These are the best grits you have ever made!” -Thomas Darnell (10.23.11)

‎”I like you and your the bestest Mama I’ve ever had!” -Thomas (10.21.11)

“I used the potty on the wall for the first time today.” -Thomas (10.13.11)

“These are the bestest grits you have ever made” -Thomas (10.2.11)

Lillian and Camilla January 2021 Date Day

January 26 2021

Today was the Lillian and Camilla January 2021 Date Day

We had fries from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno for lunch. Their fries are THE BEST!! Plus, they have a vegan option!! 😋😋😋 Forgot to take a photo of the fries! We ate them too fast!

Later we drove to pick out a dessert. Vanilla macaroon for Lillian and blueberry scone for me. The scone is incredibly delicious. 😋😋😋

We ended with a stop at the library. Even though it’s still closed, Lillian wanted to spend a few minutes in the garden behind it. We’ve frequented that little garden since she was 5 years old. ❤️❤️❤️ It was bitterly cold as we’ve got warnings of a blizzard approaching, so we didn’t stay long. 💙💙💙

Therapeutic and Just Because – Coldest Swim Yet

January 25 2021

Coldest swim yet. There were two reasons for a swim in this cold, snowy weather.

#1 – Therapeutic: I did something to my lower back nearly 2 weeks ago. I hadn’t posted about it, but I ended up in the ER, with them administering morphine. Now, I’m one tough human, having a high tolerance for pain, so you can imagine how intense this was. I am finally able to move around without intense pain.

The warm water felt really good. Came home, had a hot shower, and then a hot epsom salt soak. I’m not fully healed. I think that will take some hands on work. I had loads of folks sending distance healing this past week and on Saturday, which helped a great deal. I have a craniosacral appointment next week, and desperately need therapeutic massage, as everything is so tight and achy. I’ll work on making that happen.

#2 – Just Because: I’ve never been swimming in an outdoor heated pool, surrounded by snow, in 20 degree weather. Fixed that. 🤣😂

A huge THANK YOU to my beautiful and kind son, Thomas Darnell. He stepped up and helped me with everything. I could barely move without intense pain for nearly a week, and definitely could not lift or move things. Thank you, Thomas. You are my sunshine. I love you! xoxo …

Also, thank you to The Romano Duo and Robert, as they drove to Reno from Dayton to fill our water jugs and pick up a prescription for me.
