This afternoon we participated in the annual Carson City BOOnanza, drive through version for this year. Thomas was my secret service agent, which means I must have dressed as someone important (😂), and Lillian was the backseat fairy. We decorated Rosey a bit, too. 👻👻👻

Had to dig out my old badge for Thomas to use tomorrow, helping him look the Secret Service part for Halloween. Found my class ring, also. It still fits!! That’s wild.

It is done. Thomas took charge of his this year. Lillian designed hers, posing for the photo pretending like she was doing something … Laying of the hands on the jack-o-lantern???? 😂😂😂 Mine is not invisible this year, but decided not to dress for the occasion. 👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃

Twinkle Light Lamp While Adoring the Feel of the Water

I’m so proud of the “lamp” I made for our entryway. I love the combination of glass and twinkle lights. It has a remote so I can turn it on and off from the top of the stairs.✨ 🤩✨

Still able to go for a swim. Air is chilly. Yet, pool water is at a comfortable temperature. I adore the way the water feels against my skin. 💙💦 We haven’t used the fire pit yet. Looks pretty!

Team TLC Extra Movie Night – “Kiki’s Delivery Service” …. This has turned into an October tradition. We’ve seen it many times.

Lillian says, “Good, good for Halloween or any other time, favorite character is Kiki, and I like the background music.”

Thomas says, “It’s my second favorite Studio Gibli movie. Totoro is my favorite.”

Movie Night: Fahrenheit 451

Movie Night for me and Thomas – My choice: “Fahrenheit 451” (1966 version)

I recently read Ray Bradbury’s, The Zen of Writing. He wrote about how the book, Fahrenheit 451 came to be, mentioning that a movie was made.

When I searched for it, I found this one and a more recent production (will be watching that one soon, too). I couldn’t find this streaming online, but to my delight, the library had it! This particular DVD has many bonuses. One of which is an interview with Bradbury! Very cool!!

Thomas says, “It was good.”

A New Phone After Eleven Years – Lillian Darnell

It’s been 11 years since she had a brand new phone. Enjoy the new phone, Lillian!!! Love the sparkly red glitter cover she chose.

Thank you to all of the amazing friends and family who donated their old iPhones to us throughout these years. We appreciate your kindness more than can be expressed. Thomas and I are still on donated phones. I use things til they die or fall apart!! Ha!!
