Thomas and Camilla November 2020 Date Day

Thomas and Camilla November 2020 Date Day

Lunch from Ike’s Love & Sandwiches: “Meatball” sandwich for me, Jaymee Sirewich for Thomas, with fries for both of us. Followed by a Cocomel Sea Salt caramel for dessert. 😋😋😋

After lunch we drove to where Scripts Wildlife Preserve and Washoe Lake meet for a brutal wind whipped walk. Our wind does not mess around! After our crazy walk, we drove around the lake, always so peaceful. 💨💨💨

Movie Night: Dark Waters

November 2 2020

Extra movie night for me “Dark Waters”

Maddening, mind-blowing, disgusting.

I give myself a hard time for how much time and effort I put into researching just about every single thing I buy. From the smallest household object to Thomas’s new bed. I will no longer be so hard on myself. There’s a reason I put all this effort into it.

This movie dramatizes attorney Robert Bilott’s case against DuPont over their contamination of a West Virginia town of unregulated chemicals. The case began in 1998 and still continues. 🤯🤯🤯

She Gently Guides You Through the Chaos and Difficulties of Life

November 1 2020

Thank you to Helen of Pink Quill Books for this lovely review which caused my eyes to pool with liquid gratitude. Deeply appreciated, Helen!

My review for Words of Alchemy by Camilla Downs, 5/5 stars.

Camilla Downs takes us on her journey of healing, compassion and love in this collection of poems. Each one is written from the heart, and her warmth, and her love for her children shines through every word.

Nature and its healing power is very important to Camilla, and her poems instill you with a feeling of well-being and calm. She gently guides you through the chaos and difficulties of life, and shows you how just a few moments of quiet observation of the world around you can help reset your fragile state of mind.

Looking at the world through Camilla’s eyes is a calming experience, and opens your mind to the possibilities that life holds. I loved the poems about her children, and how she acknowledges their difficulties, indeed, she embraces them, and reassures her children that they are a part of them to be accepted and talked about openly, rather than suppressed. This mother’s love, her compassion, is inspiring and humbling. Highly recommend.

Throwback Post: You Look So Young

**THROWBACK POST**

October 15 2013:

October 15 2013: Thomas says to me, “You look so young for your age” .. I tell him excitedly, “Thank you Thomas so much”. He asked me why I was thanking him and I told him that was a compliment. He said he didn’t know that …. He just wanted to tell me just because. Pure innocence and honesty … LOVE!

Fairy Garden – COVID 19 Project by Patty Romano

November 1 2020

I must show off what my mom has been working on these past several months. Frank made the gnomes and built a special spot for this magical wonderland, and she used some of the twigs I collected on walks. It’s overflowing with whimsical details. 🧚‍♀️ 💜 🧚‍♀️

Zoom Dancing With a Secret Service Agent and a Rose Fairy Princess

October 31 2020

First time over to The Romano Duo’s since December. A whole pot of vegan chili just for me … with a virgin Bloody Mary!! 🧡🖤🎃👻

We had a fun time getting to visit The Romano Duo at their place. All three of us haven’t been since Last December.

We ate dinner outside and then I took Thomas and Lillian around the neighborhood for trick or treating. It was great to see how creative people were with safely handing out candy. Thomas was a secret service agent (who forgot to tuck in his shirt until after photos … Oops!). Lillian was once again The Rose Fairy Princess. 👻🎃💀

Thomas and Lillian also got a surprise visit from their dad who they’ve not seen since 2014. He phoned as we were driving to The Romano Duo’s place and said he’d be driving through town in about an hour. He visited for about 20 minutes before continuing on. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Home now. Time for Thomas and I to watch Arsenic & Old Lace. ☠️☠️☠️
