Throwback Post: Fun Wisdom

**THROWBACK POST**

June 5 2013:

Wisdom I learned tonight at the eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson/Tahoe/Vegas/Sierra Nevadas Chapter Wine & Wisdom event …

quality and purity of silver from Sheri Fisher, how quickly one of my friends recovered from a total hysterectomy (lightning fast)!, when you talk with your hands in a cute shop full of fun jewelry, purses and accessories … you knock stuff off the shelf and then knock the stuff off behind you with your bottom when you reach down to pick up the stuff you knocked over with your hands, the heat does NOT stop us from talking and networking, you can go opal hunting somewhere up north here in Nevada (need to find out more about this one … sounds fun), Jamie owns a very high heel pair of shoes made out of cork (cool; but I ain’t wearing those things!), grape tomatoes roll off your plate if you bend down to pick up something 😉, I like to drink water when it’s HOT, I am blessed to know some very amazing people with such kind and warm hearts, one of my neighbors got the experience of having a rattle snake curl up in her front breezeway near the front door (oh my), AND I LOVE coming home to my two kids … Thomas and Lillian!

Throwback Post: Warm Towels Straight from the Dryer

**THROWBACK POST**

Missing the date – 2015 or 2016 perhaps ???

One thing I LOVE to do and find fun is getting freshly dried, warm towels out of the dryer and folding them. I LOVE inhaling the clean, fresh, warm scent and most times I drape the larger towels over my head and relish in the scent and warmth.

I feel gratitude mirror one another. My son was complaining one time about taking the trash out. I suggested he switch up his thoughts to think how grateful he is that we have trash; as that means we had food to eat and the things that help make us comfortable. GREAT topic Yvon!! xoxo

Throwback Post: Are You Grateful

**THROWBACK POST**

September 17 2013:

Overcooked chicken, almost burned fries and yummy pasta for dinner, some sort of racing/speed walking game with Thomas and Lillian, golf with a pinwheel and piece of chalk for the ball, being decorated with imaginary clothes, sparkles and tattoos by Lillian, shadows and streamers, reading a chapter of Heidi to Lillian, reading the story of “America the Beautiful” and about water bugs with Thomas, 20 minutes of goodnight rituals, one bowl of hot buttered popcorn for Mama …. and I’m going to bed overflowing with gratitude. Grateful we have food to cook, a back yard to play in, amazing imaginations, books to read, laughter and tickles and pillows and beds to sleep in …. and grateful for my little family! Sweet dreams y’all!

Throwback Post: Best Sauce Ever and Great Teacher

**THROWBACK POST**

September 30 2013:

I made the spaghettI sauce with Kymberlee’s awesome maters last night for dinner. Thomas and I loved it! We ate every last piece of spaghetti noodles. Still have sauce so we get to have more later this week! YUM!

Thomas says “You may not be the greatest cook but you make the best sauce ever!” Lillian adds,”You may not be the best bed maker, but you are a great teacher!” I’ll take that! Love those two up!

Throwback Post: I Am Glad We Did That

**THROWBACK POST**

October 14 2015:

As we left the pool yesterday afternoon Lillian said, “I’m so glad we did that. It was so refreshing.”

Thomas had gone ahead of us by a few minutes. When I walked in the door, he exclaimed, “Whew! I’m so glad we did that. It was so refreshing!” …

I felt the same exact way! It was completely quiet and still when we got to the pool. We swam and just enjoyed the quiet and the feel of the water on our bodies. I can think of no words right now to describe the blissful feeling of being in the water.

So extremely blessed with and grateful for this Team TLC.

Throwback Post: Homemade Poem and LEGO Creation

**THROWBACK POST**

November 6 2013:

Lillian asked Thomas what he wants for his birthday. He told her he wants a nice homemade poem and a lego creation … and on that note, he took a picture of one of her lego creations and uploaded it to some lego app where everyone can look at it and rate it. He called it Statue of Liberty … Going to bed tonight blessed and grateful that I get to have these two in my life …

The ability to read and write, the ability to change habits and change my thoughts, to create new thought patterns that serve me, my family and society better … And because it can be difficult at times to change habits and thought patterns, I’m grateful for the tenacity and faith to keep at it, to keep learning and working at it …. no matter WHAT! Big ole smiles and hugs y’all!

Throwback Post: Gratitude While Discovering Wild Horses

**THROWBACK POST**

November 4 2015:

Subbing tomorrow, Friday, and Monday in Sierra and I get to help the students create vision boards. It was such a hit last year, I get to do it again! I am so grateful to receive emails like this one from the teacher in Sierra letting me know what must get done and then asking … “do you have some things you would like to do with the students?” She had requested I do the vision board lesson with them already. I suggested that November is a GREAT month to focus on gratitude. So, we will be creating a Gratitude Wall in the classroom. Should be fun!
