September 6 2016:

Thomas and Camilla August 2016 date day …. (Our date day got postponed by a few days as Thomas was sick!)

Ended the date with enjoying cookies after dinner. And then a starlit walk.

Little Washoe Lake ….

“Would anyone believe that playing with sticks and walking and splashing in the water would be so fun?” -Thomas

This was an impromptu stop as we drove right by on our way home from Carson City. And it was Thomas’ idea …. Kinda. As I had just thought, we should stop by the lake. Hmmm.

Thomas told me he was having so much fun and was so happy we stopped. I sat in the sand and watched him a while and then he asked me to join him. And I did. Took off my shoes and walked and splashed with him.

Thomas Darnell and Camilla April 2021 Date Day

First stop: Aladdin’s Market & Kitchen for lunch. Falafel plate for me, beef shawarma for Thomas, with tabouli and fries. We had fun walking the aisles looking through all the goodness. Decided on these Mastic Turkish Delights for dessert. Yum.

Second and last stop: A second dessert of a frozen hot chocolate for Thomas, vegan Granita for me. 😋😋😋

Then a walk in a favorite spot, our old stomping grounds. The white goose is still there, and we spotted cute goslings, and a few tadpoles.

Lillian and Camilla April 2021 Date Day – Part 1

Fries and garlic knots from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno, salad by me. 🤣

Then to the library drive-thru to pick up holds. Followed by picking up dessert of a blueberry scone for me, sugar cookie for Lillian.

Part 2 – A walk in one of our favorite spots. Playing with shadows, listening to the birdsong, rock hunting, and enjoying the beautiful apple and cherry blossoms.

Lunch from Noble Pie Parlor – Fries for Lillian (to go with her typical home lunch), Frachos for me. Followed by a lemon cheesecake cookie for Lillian, strawberries and dark chocolate for me. Then a few games of Uno in Lillian’s room. Ending the date day with watching a C18 Facebook live event announcing the venue for the 2021 conference. 🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉

Part 1: Take-out lunch from Bangkok Cuisine. Mixed Vegetable Pud Thai for me. Bangkok Sizzling Platter for Thomas, with a vegan fresh roll for each of us.

Part 2: A walk at Scripts Wildlife Preserve, and then visiting with Melinda before the walk, Barb after the walk, and all the animals on the way out. 💚💙💚 Thomas found a geocache, too! Good times!

Melinda’s not kidding with her sign. All humans and animals are welcome. There’s even a piggy door for the pig and goats next door to visit Melinda and Laird’s gang of animals. 😂🤣😂

Maya’s South Indian Cuisine – Avial for me, Chicken Chettinad for Thomas.

Next, picking up my cake for tomorrow – Vegan Chocolate Mousse Cake 😋😛😋 Thomas secured the precious cargo in the backseat. 🤣🤪😂

Followed by Yogurt Beach for dessert. Mango sorbet for me, and I have no idea for Thomas, it was a mixture of 3 different flavors.

Ending with a walk we’ve not taken for quite a while. Lots of memories along this trail, too.

Part 1: Fries and garlic knots from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno, with a salad made by me. First time having the garlic knots …. Delicious!!!

We already knew we love their fries. I’m so thrilled to have this amazing restaurant so close to us!!! Snickerdoodle cookie for Lillian for dessert, heirloom sea salt chocolate for me.

Part 2: A walk on one of our favorite walking trails. Thomas learned to ride a bike on this trail. Many memories here. They sneak up and grab you when you least expect it. ❤️❤️❤️

Today was the Lillian and Camilla January 2021 Date Day

We had fries from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno for lunch. Their fries are THE BEST!! Plus, they have a vegan option!! 😋😋😋 Forgot to take a photo of the fries! We ate them too fast!

Later we drove to pick out a dessert. Vanilla macaroon for Lillian and blueberry scone for me. The scone is incredibly delicious. 😋😋😋

We ended with a stop at the library. Even though it’s still closed, Lillian wanted to spend a few minutes in the garden behind it. We’ve frequented that little garden since she was 5 years old. ❤️❤️❤️ It was bitterly cold as we’ve got warnings of a blizzard approaching, so we didn’t stay long. 💙💙💙
