We were supposed to have a date day today … Her stomach was hurting so bad we didn’t make it out of the house. Finally feeling better!!! Got in one game of UNO and we’ve rescheduled date day for Monday! Now I’m off to get Thomas.

I’m grateful for the creative and talented people that create songs into beautiful, passionate, moving music, grateful for the musical instruments that these amazing people are so gifted at using. Blessed and grateful that I get to be on the receiving end of their talents and be inspired and uplifted … sometimes that means bringing a smile to my face, sometimes that means making my eyes sweat, and sometimes that means dance, dance, dancing and shaking my hips!!

After a full day of training for the contract work I’m about to begin and experiencing first hand the repair, love and care that these children need from horrid things that they have experienced …. I just got done watching the most amazing, inspiring and beautiful “concert” by the ‘Love Me Band’ (Thomas and Lillian) … Two solo songs by Thomas about Love and Thanksgiving,Two solo songs by Lillian about Thanksgiving and a Thanksgiving song performed by both of them together … My eyes just about sweated (ok, now they are sweating) … And I was once again filled with the beauty, wonder and blessings of life … My hope is that everyone goes to sleep tonight thinking of ALL they have to be grateful for .. Hugs and Love Y’all ..

Today I am thankful for modern technology combined with innovation . . . not just the convenience factor . . . the improvement to quality of life that it provides to those like my daughter. Fifteen years ago I could not say, I don’t know what you are saying Lillian, send me a text or use your iPhone and Proloquo2Go . . . Grateful to infinity and back for innovation and technology . . .

The interesting things that come into your life when you are connected with people all over the world due to deleted genetic material from one’s daughter’s 18th chromosome.

Thomas’s class got assigned Australia for their multicultural report this year. Thomas chose Victoria. He’s finished all his research and is working on the creative piece now of displaying some of what he learned. I mentioned to him that we’ve got more than several C18 friends in Australia. Let’s look and see if any of them live in Victoria and we can see if she would like to send a post card or something. Hot Diggity Dog!

Thanks Deb Goodrick for playing along and sending some goodies to Thomas! Can’t wait for him to put it all together! So blessed by the kindness and enthusiasm of others!

Yes Katharine Newman! It’s a big hit! Especially last night after watching the Nutcracker. Left the projector connected and had fun looking at it really big, putting the giant puzzles together, and making huge snowflakes! Thank YOU! xoxo

YAY me! Got lights up in the front and back! I’m glad I have such a sense of humor. I was cracking myself up with some of less than wise moves I was making. Stringing lights with the plug in on the wrong end, hearing at least 2 of the ceramic bulbs pop as they hit the ground and trying to hammer nails into this crumbly stucco exterior (and seeing the nails fly all over)! We’ll see how long the scotch tape holds up in the back! HA! I have two happy, happy kids too!! Totally worth it! xoxo

I am so lucky!! Got a weather report delivered to me in bed this morning at 6:30 am by Weather Fairy Lillian!! This young lady cannot begin her day without 10-30 minutes of weather observations, AND she must share it with others! Then I treated myself to some yummy vanilla cinnamon tea in front of the fire! There’s nothing like quiet time! Happy December 1st y’all!!

The coconut bread was a success today. I made it for myself and Thomas and Lillian are eatin’ it up! Taste great warm with a bit of ghee. Can’t wait to taste it with some almond butter. Yum!!

A truck to use for moving, a job offer, another potential job opportunity, several writing opportunities, a blog set up, a place to stay with another family if needed, and $8,414 … in just 2 weeks of creating and sharing my blog post. My heart and soul overflow with gratitude and love for all y’all! I am staying open to all opportunities, blessings and miracles that arise. I will be creating a monthly package for ongoing blog maintenance as soon as I get this house packed. More purging and packing today and dropping off an application for an apartment. I like that the give away pile is growing bigger than the keep pile!

I sure am glad that cars come with these handy little books that tell you how to do “stuff” with the car. Oil, transmission fluid and coolant all checked today. That poor baby was thirsty, needed oil and antifreeze.

Thomas was eating chips and picante sauce with me. Said “Mmmmm, this is good! I’ve got hot sauce tongue” – and then kept on eating and eating and eating it! Gotta get this kid down to a real crawfish boil one day soon and see how he likes that!

The Romano Duo made it home about two hours ago. Minus a piece of luggage that wanted a beach vacation in Florida! Oh no! Hope it makes it’s way back to them. We sure enjoyed having them here!

Another loaf of coconut bread made!! I think this is about the 4th loaf and I make it different every time. I know some of you wanted the recipe. I”ll get that put together as soon as I can. This time I added vanilla and cinnamon! So good!!! (Next time, I may get all crazy and try adding cocoa and make a chocolate loaf!) YUM!!!!

After almost a TWO hour meltdown for both Thomas and Lillian and then having to earn our adventure back … We are finally off for a picnic adventure!!

And we made it … Perfect place for a picnic. Drive up was so beautiful … Brought “wow this place is awe-some” tears to my eyes!!! Amazing!! Makes my heart skip a beat!! 
Grateful for a beautiful day with my kids . . . long picnic lunch at Sand Harbor beach, great ride up there and back, candle light dinner {Thomas’s idea) and now for some relaxing while Team Member T is in the bath. Think I’ll pull em both outside before bed and sit for a few minutes . . . the weather is so mild right now . . .

My son Thomas has to have the most exciting life of any 5 year old I know. Told me that today at Ms. Kat’s they went to the airport and then flew to Africa and they also learned Spanish! Seriously now – I really don’t remember doing as many adventurous and exciting things in my childhood!

Leaving the eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson/Tahoe/Vegas/Sierra Nevadas Chapter dinner event tonight as I walked outside I was overcome with feelings of gratitude and love for this AWE-some city and state I call home and for the beautiful and amazing people I have surrounded myself with – my two kids, my eWn Friends and my Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society Family! WOW . . . what an adventure y’all!
