Speaking-to-undergrad-health-field-student adventures!!! Gonna have them take a walk in my and my fellow special needs parents shoes …. Wheeeeee!!
I was just thinkin how much I love and adore nature …. “The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity… and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.” -William Blake
It’s a fabulous day to mail a book!!! Wahooooo!!!

Lovely walk this afternoon. What this does for my health, emotions, soul …. is nearly indescribable. The walk itself, the sounds, the smells, the sights, capturing it with photos. As I looked through the photos, I see I’ve captured a small heart. Do you see it? (Huge Hint: It’s the last photo!)
April 22 2020:
Short walk with Lillian, then a longer walk for me with Thomas riding his bike.
Wonderful walk with Lillian yesterday. The breeze was incredibly yummy!! Thanks to all for the magical feedback on the poem I posted yesterday. I was extremely happy to get to work on my book this past weekend!!!
Oh, and Dear Tree, I love you!! …. And, a first for Lillian. She has never stepped off the path in this place due to the downward slope as she has balance and depth perception issues. She did this time! So she could make a great photo!!
August 27 2019:
Beautiful golden hour walk last night … hot, hot, hot. Yet,it was an amazing walk. May opt for a swim tonight instead of a walk.
Lillian and I had planned on visiting the Incline Village library yesterday as she wanted to get movies for the long weekend with The Romano Duo (which started today)! Yay!!!! Respite for me started today through Saturday afternoon!!! Wahoooo!!!
We were delayed making our way up there as we had to make a quick run to the doctor for Lillian to have the redness underneath her eye checked. And to confirm it’s allergy related. (For those that don’t know the area, Incline Village and Lake Tahoe are a 30-40 minute drive from here.)
We finally arrived at the library 10 minutes before closing. Good thing we’re fast as we found about 10 movies and checked out with 1 minute to spare! Three years ago, leading up to the 2016 Chromosome 18 Conference, Lillian conquered her fear of using the stairs without my assistance. She wanted to revisit that fear before we left the library!! Yes!!! Go Lillian go!! 💥💥💥
I did not want to have driven all that way for only a 10 minute stop at the library. So we visited Kings Beach to bask in the sand, sky, trees, wind, waves, and the magical and majestic Lake Tahoe. She’s a beauty, isn’t she?
Love the wee bubbles of splashing water captured in the first photo! And what a wonderful photo of Lillian looking at the lake. The photos I’ve been posting don’t do her justice. So magical.
Monday walk. Check out the last photo. Looks like the leaves are dangling from the sunbeam on the left. Cool!!
June 13 2019:
Tuesday evening walk with Thomas! Love walks with Thomas and Lillian. Hopefully, Lillian and I will have one tomorrow for our June Date Day! Graced by the lovely white goose! (S)he comes every year in the beginning of spring.
If you enjoy the photography I share, and are moved to do so, I’d appreciate it if you’d buy me a coffee!! Thanks tons and tons! – Camilla
