Reiki Master Teacher With a Wee Bit of Love in a Warm Spa Robe While Not Falling With the Help of Unicorns and Mermaids

December 6 2020

An aspect of my personality is that I like to finish what I start, even if it takes me years. 🤣😂

Today I took the first step in finishing something I began 7 years ago. I haven’t had an active practice in about 5 years, with no current plans to change that.

I simply wanted to complete the journey, and I know it will serve whatever path I take in 2021. First half of class was today. Last half, next Saturday. Thank you, Tania. Love you much.

December 13 2020

Just getting in bed to read a bit before going to sleep. A wee bit of love jumped in bed with me. ❤️❤️❤️

December 16 2020

Finally got the spa robe, heavy and thick! This is the coldest so far! The robe and the slippers work perfectly, keeping me warm on the walk to and from the pool.

I would not have thought swimming (outdoors) in this cold weather would work for me. Wow! It feels amazing, calming, relaxing, and invigorating once finished. The pool is at about 83 degrees. Over the moon blessed and grateful for this opportunity. 🙏💙💙💙🙏

December 17 2020

Looks like some sort of torture device. 😂🤣 I will not be slipping and falling this year while out in the snow and ice. These are crampons for ones shoes ….. to prevent falls. Yay!!! ❄️❄️❄️

December 19 2020

It’s official! So happy to have completion with this journey that began in 2013, and an additional tool for use in this wild n crazy life adventure. After getting certified level I and II in 2013, I never had the finances to get the final level. I no longer have a Reiki practice, but I just don’t like leaving things undone. There. Fixed it. Deeply grateful …. 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Received today! A lovely book I won from author friends. One who lives in Italy, one who lives in the UK. Can’t wait to read it! Letting Lillian read it first. Thank you Helen and Sarah!!! 💙💙💙 (Photo taken with Lillian’s bag made by Veronica of Black Tag Bag.)

Cozy Christmas With Astronomy Binoculars and a New Phone

December 13 2020

I just had to take a photo as it is so cozy. 💚🎄❤️ Well, maybe I’ve taken about 10 photos, or more … 😂🤣

December 18 2020

So that Lillian could see the rare double planet conjunction before it’s gone, we opened a couple of gifts this morning. She got astronomy binoculars with a tripod stand. These are the hugest binoculars I’ve ever seen! We can see the trees on Mt Rose!!

I needed time to figure it all out before the rarity is finished! 🤣😂 Thomas got a brand new phone. He’s always used hand me down phones, and his was about to completely die! Yay!!! 💚💚💚🎄🎄🎄❤️❤️❤️

Huge binoculars!!! I’ve got to get the tripod set up so we can adjust the focus. They’re hard to hold completely still with your hands. Lillian definitely wouldn’t be able to hold them. We’re so excited to see the moon and the Christmas star!! I researched pros and cons between astrology binoculars and telescopes, and decided these would be better for her. 🌚 ✨ 🪐

Lillian has wanted a telescope for about 5 or 6 years. I’m thrilled to be able to finally get her something to look closer at the planets and stars! You can find some great articles online comparing the two. Honestly, I needed something I could figure out, also. I haven’t had much luck with telescopes!!

Sunset walk with Lillian yesterday. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful. Nature is a blessing. She does her best to fill us up when we’re feeling empty. She also adds to our joy and peace when we’re joyful and peaceful. Mother Nature is the Best!!

June 26 2016:

We had company for tonight’s walk! They got to see the ducklings, goslings, cormorants, a huge frog, and the beaver! YAY!

June 26 2016:

We went over to The Romano Duo’s temporary home for the next 4 days. Had some fun at the pool. They get to have a sleepover Monday night!! First night of respite for me since last August. xoxo

December Tradition – Ornament Shopping With a Poinsettia

December 8 2020

It has become a tradition for Lillian and I to visit a couple of shops to look at Christmas tree ornaments in early December, usually finding one she would like to have. She can’t wear a mask so I went, took pictures, and texted them to her. Not nearly the same, but at least she got to see them. Which one do you think she chose? 🎄🎄🎄

December 11 2020

We received a beautiful poinsettia with a basket of goodies this afternoon from Overture. What a wonderful surprise! Overture is the contractor I work for as a host home provider for Lillian, and Lillian is their client. ❤️💚❤️💚❤️💚

December 12 2020

The new ornament I got for myself when I was “shopping” with Lillian for an ornament for her. 🎄🤍🤍🤍🎄

Winter Swimming With a View from the Garage

December 6 2020

First piece of wardrobe has arrived for being able to have these winter swims, and not have my body go numb walking back to our place. Never having had access to a heated year round outdoor pool, I’m going to take full advantage of it. The heavy duty spa robe should be arriving any day now. Yay!!

December 11 2020

Every time I pull into the garage, I am blown away by the beautiful view. 🙏🙏🙏 Deeply grateful. A lot!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Earth Dancing and Three Positive Words – Sonya Interviews Camilla

December 10 2020

New Interview! This past July I took part in a written interview with Sonya of “A Lover of Books”. Before the interview could post, Sonya made a decision to retire from book blogging, which I fully understand. Book blogging can be intense! I figured I would share it here as Sonya put much time and effort into going back and forth with me, and pulling it together.

Sonya and I chat about having no idea what I’m doing, being a nature inspired poet, not intending to publish my poetry, how writing has been therapeutic, Earth dancing, and three positive words. Join us …

First of all can you tell me a bit about your latest book, ‘Words of Alchemy’?

Absolutely, Sonya! Words of Alchemy is a free verse poetry memoir that covers six years of my life, from 2013 -2019. Writing has been and is therapeutic for me, including writing poetry. When I began writing poetry in 2013, it was a way of processing life experiences, healing, and getting things out of my head. Words of Alchemy is a poetry collection of these events.

What do you hope readers will get out of this book?

It is my hope that readers connect with the content, causing them to laugh, shed a tear, or nod their head in agreement. If something I have written helps another to view a situation differently, opens their eyes or heart to a new way of experiencing life, or simply lets them know they are not alone, I am truly blessed.

Is this a book people can turn to when they need to relax or are after some inspiration? ….
