February 15 2019:
Lillian and Camilla February 2019 Date Day
First stop was a haircut for Lillian. Thank you to our sweet friend Kathy Duncan for taking such sweet care with Lillian.
Next stop: French fries and rainbow stack cookie for Lillian. Apricot thumb print cookie for me.
Last stop: Shopping for a special container to hold Lillian’s colored pencils. She loves the silk flowers too!
February 1 2019:
Lillian and Camilla January 2019 date day.
First stop: Fries for Lillian, bright red shortbread cookie for Lillian and vegan chocolate blackout cupcake for me. 😋😋😋
Next up, shopping for lip balm for Lillian. She chose Mongo Kiss Peppermint and she let me try it last night. Good choice!! 💙💙💙
Ended the date with a long walk where we used to walk in 2014 and 2015. I am deeply blessed and grateful that she still loves to go walking with me. 🙏💖💖💖🙏
Most of you know that Lillian has a deep, irrational fear of dogs (and all animals). You can see in this picture of her, that’s she’s not wearing her usual glowing smile. This was about 10 minutes after she was “attacked” by a dog. I say attack because that’s what it feels like for her.
It was an incredibly jolly and happy dog. I tried to hide Lillian behind me and tried to get the dogs attention; but that didn’t work. The happy dogs seem to be attracted to her!
It was very traumatic and took her hours to recover. When the dogs young girl human caught up to the dog and us, she was nearly in tears as she felt so bad this had happened.
Lillian has been reading about dogs to help with this fear. Yet, it is not getting her there. Hopefully soon she will be ready to visit with a friendly, very mellow dog. Perhaps that will help. We go for so many walks, and encounter so many unleashed dogs, she really wants to get past this. 💝💝💝
January 13 2019:
Thomas and Camilla January 2019 Date Day on Friday.
Car picnic at Geiger Way Lookout and this gorgeous view. Vegan burger from Great Full Gardens for me and traditional burger and fries for Thomas. Love the way they decorate the take out boxes at Great Full Gardens!
Then for a lil walk around. I absolutely love this view …. and all the memories of car picnics and walks ever since Thomas was 1 year old and Lillian 4 years old. xoxo

Thomas and Camilla December 2018 Date Day – Completely spaced on taking more photos after this one!
First stop: A sandwich for Thomas at Icecycle Creamery – Peddlars Deli.
Then to Rolled Mountain Creamery for Thai style rolled ice cream for Thomas. He got Death by Chocolate. Wish I had taken a picture. It looked great!! 🍨💛
December 13, 2018:
Lillian and Camilla December 2018 Date Day …
First, French fries for Lillian! Followed by a vegan dark chocolate cupcake for me and a fancy blue shortbread cookie for her. 💞💞💞
Next, window shopping … Essential oils, beautiful soaps, and gorgeous flowers!
Last, picture fun with a huge Christmas tree along with a huge matching fire pit!!!
November 26 2018:
Lillian and Camilla November 2018 Date Day …. First stop – Fries and a huge shortbread cookie for Lillian. Vegan cupcake for me. 🧡
Second stop: Window shopping to see how many sparkly beauties we could find.
Last stop: A Beautiful sunset walk where Lillian reminded me how years ago I used to make hearts and write messages in the sand. Thanks for the reminder Lillian!

Thomas and Camilla October 2018 Date Day:
Lunch Car picnic, with a view. Sushi for Thomas and a GreatFull Gardens half Veghead Sandwich for me.
After eating we spent time chatting with this amazing view.
Then for a beautiful walk down to Bartley Ranch. 💙💙💙
October 12 2018:
Lillian Darnell and Camilla October 2018 Date Day
First stop: Picking up my lunch to go from Great Full Gardens South Meadows Reno and then to get fries for Lillian and dessert for both of us.
Half a Veghead sandwich with a side of slaw and fresh brewed Kombucha for me. First time having the Veghead sandwich. Incredibly delicious!! And first time for the Kombucha. Yum!!!!
Dessert of vegan chocolate raspberry muffin for me and pumpkin shortbread cookie for Lillian. 🎃🧡🧡🧡🎃
Second stop: Lillian has been wanting a couple of craft pumpkins. So, she spent some of her birthday money on just that!
Last stop: A walk at one of our favorite places. Incredibly beautiful!! And we took more shadow photos than nature photos this time!!
September 7 2018:
Thomas and Camilla September 2018 Date Day – First stop: The Work! Fight! Give! -American Relief Posters of World War II exhibit at the Wilbur D. May Museum.
Thomas finds this time period very interesting and enjoys to get philosophical about wars and other major events in history. So, Thomas was pretty excited when I shared about this exhibit that Lillian had actually told me about just yesterday!!
Bonus!!! It was Open House today due to the Hot Air Balloon races so free admission. I was so happy and relieved to hear this that I nearly reached over the counter and hugged the gal who told me.
After looking through the exhibit we walked through the Wilbur May collection. Haven’t done that for years! My favorite is the collection from India!
Next was a walk through the Arboretum. Incredibly beautiful right now with tons of flowers and squirrels and rabbits and song birds!!
Last stop was dessert for Thomas of salted caramel and Oreo cookie frozen yogurt.
August 24 2018:
Gorgeous afternoon spent at Nevada Beach.
First, a picnic, then a swim for me and playing in the sand for Thomas. I Love Lake Tahoe deeply and am so at peace when I get the chance to immerse in her! Just WOW!!!
Then for some floating fun in the tubes we borrowed yesterday. Too windy for kayaking as this would have been our first time. Need not quite so much wind. Floating and paddling in the tubes was perfect!!
Plus!!! Chipmunk wisdom!!! This sweet lil critter stayed with us the entire time we were deflating the tubes and loading the car. Thank you chipmunk!!!
Last stop on the date – SouthCreek Pizza for an appetizer for me of fire roasted green beans ….. Oh my gosh, YUM!!! … and dessert for Thomas of 3 scoops of rocky road gelato. Accompanied by a taste of the oh so yummy Ceci.
