August 24 2018:
Thomas and I had a date day today at Nevada Beach. We ate our lunch underneath this tree and as we were packing up to leave I said, “I LOVE this tree!”
Thomas: “That was kind of fast. You just met.”
Me: “It was Love at first sight!”
August 10 2018:
Lillian and Camilla August 2018 Date Day ….
First stop – Fries for Lillian and a colorful fish shaped shortbread cookie for dessert. Coconut vegetable soup for me and a vegan hemp oat cookie for me. So yum!!!
Then shopping for some clothing items for Lillian. Now, a pit stop at home for a snack before closing out the date!!
Next half of date: A drive through our old neighborhood, with a few stops for photos.
Last piece of our date: A just-after-sunset walk. I adore the picture Lillian took of me. I had my eyes closed listening to the beautiful music the leaves sing as the wind blows through them. One of my most loved and treasured sounds.
July 26 2018:
Lillian and Camilla July 2018 Date Day
First stop: Fries for Lillian and a beautiful purple flower shortbread cookie for Lillian and a vegan oatmeal and date cookie for me. That was one darn good cookie!!
Second stop: Lillian absolutely LOVES decorative throw pillows. So we spent about 30 minutes ooh’ing and aah’ing over the shiny, sparkly, and oh so soft pillows.
Third stop: A special feature of one of Lillian’s most favorite movies: “Barbie and the Diamond Castle” in the lodge theater. We’ve been watching this ever since Lillian was about 5 years old so I’m sure we’ve seen it at least 109 times!
We would have loved to have a walk at one of our favorite places; yet, just too hot!! Perhaps later tonight! xoxo
Ended the date with a sunset walk. Just beautiful!
July 12 2018:
Thomas and Camilla July 2018 Date Day
Icecycle Creamery for lunch. The veggie sandwich I had was soooo yum!!! Followed by 1/2 scoop Mexican Hot Chocolate and 1/2 scoop of Classic Vanilla. Perfect! Too hot for an outdoor part to our date. Maybe early evening we’ll go for a walk. Will see.
June 24 2018:
Thomas and Camilla June 2018 Date Day.
First stop. Ice cream! A neighbor thanked us for watering their plants with a Cold Stone Creamery gift card. Thomas enjoyed his treat!
Next stop. Walking and talking along Virginia Lake. We saw this amazing golden tan colored duck and a multicolored duck. Plus, a nearly all black duck with a white breast (in next set of photos).
Conversations with Thomas are incredibly magical, wonderful, emotional, Real, and deep. Today’s will remain between the two of us. Yet, may the sentiment and energies travel far and wide. xoxo .
June 18 2018:
Lillian and Camilla June 2018 Date Day ….. First stop. Fries for Lillian followed by a beautiful butterfly cookie. Vegan apple carrot muffin for me followed by dark chocolate covered pretzel. Yum!!!!!
Second stop. Geiger Way Lookout to watch the sun set. 💛💛💛
Last stop. A moonlight swim and soak in the hot tub. Ahhhhhhh ….. 💦💙💦💙💦💙
Just what this banged up body needed! Between this and the amazing homemade salve Carolyn R Smith brought me today; I’m feeling so much better.

April 2014 date day with Thomas … 1st adventure: Kid’s on Big Rigs at HDMS …. Thomas had such a GREAT time!
Lunch from Electric Blue Elephant …. Then a tour of our new fire department! Thomas says this is THE BEST food he’s every tasted! Absolutely LOVED it! I agree Thomas!! My taste buds were happy dancing the entire time and now my stomach is so Happy!!!

Now that Thomas and I are frozen from being outside for an hour and a half at Kids on Big Rigs ….
Kids on Big Rigs …. Biggest and funnest fundraiser for HDMS! Brrrrrr and FUN!!
I couldn’t resist leaving a little message. I got caught though … The officer asked in a very worried voice .. “Will that erase?” Of course, Mr. Officer. I used one of your dry erase markers! xoxo
Chili and Quiche …. The best quiche I’ve ever had! YUM!!
Bartley Ranch … Such memories!
Yummy ice cream! I had deep chocolate and ricotta fig. Thomas had peanut butter chocolate chip. Then, Audrey Harris Park.

Lillian and Camilla May 2018 Date Day
First stop – French fries for Lillian and dessert cookies for both of us. Lillian is such a Star! A lady waiting to order commented she had seen us on TV. She was incredibly kind with so many wonderful comments. Then for a walk at one of our favorite parks. Beautiful bird song too!!!!

First, Mexican for lunch with fried ice cream for dessert.
Next: Little Washoe Lake for playing in the sand, water, and huge driftwood. Part 1
Twelve years of monthly date days. I’m incredibly blessed he still loves these. And, please, I’m not boasting. It’s never too late to start having them.
And, it’s amazing how an aha moment one night can lead one to feel on top of the world the next day.
