Make the Best of It

**THROWBACK POST**

February 24 2014:

A couple of weeks ago Lillian asked me what my Mom and I had been talking about earlier in the day. I told her that we were talking about how things weren’t going as planned. She said to me,

“You’ve got to just make the best of it.”

Told her she was right on about that and that I’d already been inspired with a new plan … Came to me after Thomas and I went for a walk in the rain. I am so inspired when Lillian mirrors my own advice back to me ……

And, since this happened, things didn’t go as planned once again and I, yet again, was inspired with a new plan! I am certainly learning some valuable life lessons about expectations and patience in the last couple of months! Learning, Growing and Lovin’! Yahooo!

Grand Sierra Cinema and Sing and Doodle Art and Earth Hour

March 21 2017:

Today’s rainy and windy weather was the perfect day for an adventure!! We’ve not been to the movie theater in about two years! Bonus: Sunshine greeted us as we emerged from the dark theater. Yay!!

A Great Storm or A Beacon of Light

**THROWBACK POST**

February 24 2013:

Been working on science projects all day with Thomas and Lillian. When Mr. T was finished I told him he could go outside and play before the sun set. He chose to stay inside and help me clean.

This kid gives me much to ponder. He can be the bearer of such a great storm when my thoughts are not in harmony yet in the next instant he is a beacon of calm shining brightly. His awesome sister too in her own way. My word this is truly a beautiful life!!

Paper Towels in the Dishwasher and Dinner Outside and Alchemist

March 12 2017:

“The paper towels are in the dishwasher … along with the light bulbs.” – Me to Thomas yesterday as he was helping to clean. What you use the dishwasher for when you don’t use it and have extremely limited storage space. xoxo

We got to enjoy our first dinner outside today! Fist bump toast for that! Wahoo!

Busy, busy day of working on blogs and then more purging and organizing. About seven years of downsizing, purging, and simplifying and I still find more to throw out or pass on.

Space …. feels so good when it’s clear and not cluttered. Here’s a fun and sparkly picture I took a few weeks ago of a wee icicle shifting back into liquid. The Shift! xoxo

March 18 2017:

Just home from Alchemist Salon for Giants [discussion group] …. Thank you Matthew McDowell and Jessica Levity Daylover of Alchemist Theatre (including ALL of the Alchemist chiefs). I am deeply grateful for the space, synchronicity, events, and discussions over these past three months.

I was moved in December 2016 to have as my 2017 theme, “The Shift”. I knew not what this entailed. Yet, I agreed to it, signed up, and jumped in with all my heart.

It has definitely not been easy, nor fun, yet the freedom from the past, and from anxiety and fear, is worth every freaking second! There is so much shift happening on so many levels and I am beyond thankful that part of the shift involves all of you. So much love …. xoxo

March 8 2017:

Physical therapy day for Lillian. As I was getting back in the car I was moved by the books she’s reading. How did she know I want to learn calligraphy? The other is mine, but she got to it first!

April will be our last month for physical therapy. So much excited about this! We may return to physical therapy after summer, yet not here as I don’t feel she needs weekly appointments. We’ve been coming here for about 6 years.

Plus, I will try to talk Lillian into something different to pinpoint the areas that still need developing … yoga or some kind of dance? We shall see. Hallelujah for endings, new beginnings and new adventures! xoxo

Lillian Books 3.8.17

March 9 2017:

This afternoon was our bi-weekly library visit! This time with a twist. Thomas got to take part in the South Valleys Coding Club at 4:00. It was very basic using Scratch; which he already knows. Yet, they will progress from there. We LOVE the library!!

Coconut Brown Rice and Potato Medallions and Avocado

March 8 2017:

Thomas says I like to make art with my food. I also LOVE to mix foods.

Baked potato medallions circling coconut milk infused brown rice, topped with avocado, salsa, warm beets, and kalamata olives. Plus an amazing creamy and spicy vegan dipping sauce for the potatoes.

This meal was incredibly satisfying. Avocado is the mother fruit and the strongest link in the food chain. Perfect nurturing food that also assists with emotional strength. Coconut enhances the benefits of anything it’s paired with.

Words cannot even describe the satisfaction and contentment when we eat foods that assist our bodies, emotions, and spirituality.
