Finishing the packing of the suitcase today for the TeamTLC Reno-to-Atlanta-to-Savannah-on-less-than-a-shoe-string-budget Adventure for the 2013 Chromosome18 Conference …. Do I take up space in the suitcase with D iz for Different books? I’m thinking all my C18 friends who want a book already have one! What y’all think conference goers?? It’s a fabulous day to pack a suitcase!

The Romano Duo have arrived!!! They’ve said “so long” to Vegas baby … they are DONE with Vegas adventures!! The Duo are here with Team TLC for 2 weeks and then off for visiting family adventures in Washington, California and Mississippi for a couple of months … We shall see where they decide to land after that ….. Y’all know where Team TLC wants them to land!!

We had the pleasure of a visit from the Tooth Fairy! YeeHawwww! (Although, Thomas didn’t understand and cried cause the tooth fairy stole his sister’s tooth right out of her mouth!!) Hahahahaha!!

Lillian being very proud of her visit from the tooth fairy! Tooth Fairy left her 5 big ones cause Lillian was so darn brave in letting her Momma get that tooth out the night before!!

Student Government Association With Back to School Night at TMCC – Thomas

Thomas applied for and has been accepted into the Student Government Association at TMCC. 🥳🥳🥳

Last week was the first week of high school (11th grade). This week is the first week of college classes. I’ll get a photo eventually.

It was TMCC Back to School night. No time to come home after Thomas’s last class of the day, so we had Asuka Sushi for dinner. We absolutely love this place. Delicious and the owner always takes good care of us.

Finally getting to work on the blog post(s) about the trip. I’ve already been posting on our Team TLC website, yet this one will be on my own website and completely different. Here’s a snippet …

” …. Thoughts of us being stranded due to car problems kept entering my thoughts like a dark storm cloud encroaching on the brightest of days. Thoughts of the lack of finances for this trip took their turn in the dance also.

Not to be left out of the dance, thoughts of my insanity at attempting this cut into the dance too. All of this dance to be completed with the veil of anxiety and worry weaving in and out like a breeze blowing through the trees.

Thankfully, I am a student of mindfulness and emotional connection. And, since there was nothing else to do but sit and drive, I took this opportunity to put these practices to work. It was a rapturous dance between being mindful, connecting with emotions, and embracing the fear wanting to dance with me … ” Must take a break now for lunch and getting this place cleaned up! xoxoxo

Played hide n seek with Thomas this morning, read a little, wrote a little, had a quick library adventure with Thomas and Lillian, watched this beautiful sunset, finally finished packing …. 8 hours til we get on the plane and head to Georgia for the #Chromosome18 conference! Two VERY excited kids who had a hard time falling asleep thinking about our fun adventure about to begin = priceless!

I’ve not been posting as much as I did in the past. I’ve not been writing, not keeping up with my favorite fb groups, and haven’t even been able to go for walks since June. I have been utterly drained and exhausted for the past few years, with it getting progressively worse.

For the past year and a half I’ve been traveling a path of lab visits, MRIs, CT Scans, ultrasounds, colonoscopy, endoscopy, an EKG, visits with the GI doctor, heart doctor, and now a hematologist. I’m thinking the (hopefully) last stop will be a neurologist.

About a year and a half ago I visited the doctor with a list of symptoms, and asked her to please help me figure out what the hell is going on. I knew I did not feel like myself, with a drastic change in my energy level. I had been feeling like this since mid 2019.

Pernicious anemia (a B12 deficiency) and iron deficiency anemia – that’s where I’ve landed, and I’m hoping when this is addressed it will address all of my symptoms. I do …

Treated myself while Thomas is in his group session. The most delicious cappuccino I’ve ever had (ordered 2 of them), with amazing French toast at Cafe Capello. Finished with a rose, lavender Italian soda. Ordered a strawberry vanilla Italian soda to go for Thomas. Plus breakfast for tomorrow. Strawberry and blueberry scones, and coffee cake. Good eats!

Group session for Thomas today. That means I get to visit Cafe Capello!!

This is the BEST cappuccino I’ve ever had! The breakfast burrito is great, too. Getting a couple of Italian sodas to go. 🎉🎉🎉

I’m lucky to have found a parking space. There’s an event happening today.
