Team TLC Movie Night: Double Feature – “The Canterville Ghost” – An October tradition for us.
I say, “Love that we watch this every October. Such a fun and sweet movie. Very, very loosely based on the book by Oscar Wilde.”
Thomas says, “It’s good, as always.”
October 10 2019:
About to begin round 7 of reading the entire book out loud – from the title page, copyright page, through to the about the author page (for proofreading purposes). Whew! Fingers and toes crossed that this is the last time so I can get it to the book designer tomorrow!
October 12 2019:
Done!! Just submitted ‘Words of Alchemy’ to the book designer! Should be able to order a proof book in about 2 weeks. In celebration I created a word art image with content from the book’s website page. Thanks for the support and interest in pre-ordering!
Thomas and I toasted to me submitting the manuscript to the book designer!! Pumpkin pie spiced ginger ale … (non-alcoholic).
October 7 2019:
Thomas and I volunteered at The Humane Society this morning. Helped decorate for Halloween and visited the cats a bit. Thomas took the photo of the sleeping cat.

Afternoon treat courtesy of my mom. She brought treats when she picked up Lillian for respite on Wednesday! Vegan Neapolitan cupcake! Yum!

Extra movie night for me – “My Old Lady”
I promised myself that I would watch a movie if I finished the last round of proofreading the book. I did it!
Another random find on the library shelf while pulling holds.
September 29 2019:
Walk before dinner. Leaves are changing colors, trees are shedding. So it begins.
October 7 2019:
From a walk yesterday. I adore the changing colors of the leaves.
October 7 2019:
Beautiful walk with Lillian this afternoon. Peaceful with beautiful colors, crows, blackbirds, and scarred trees to keep us company.
October 10 2019:
Went for a walk with Thomas yesterday afternoon. Brilliant colors to enjoy. I love when the egrets visit. They look incredibly graceful.
Three days of respite began yesterday afternoon. Began the time with this walk, then took the night off from sitting in front of the laptop. Next up, was a long hot soak in the tub. Ending with uninterrupted reading in bed before drifting to sleep. Today, I’m on the 6th read aloud of Words of Alchemy to catch wee errors before submitting to the book designer. Hopefully, just one more time!

This is just magical. Truly love it! Animated book cover!
In Words of Alchemy, Camilla Downs invites you to walk with her to share her love of Nature through a heartfelt free-verse poetry memoir.
During her daily strolls she is mindfully present as she delves into life in the raw and experiences her heart’s observations.
Camilla embraces what happens when she opens her heart and invites the written words to flow. The Alchemy of Love and Healing is what happens.
“These poems take you on a calm and loving walk through the verses of the author’s thoughts. Alchemy is a perfect word for the title as Camilla Downs understands nature; connecting with its magical, medicinal qualities and beauty which she conveys throughout her poetry.” – Ailsa Craig, Author of The Sand Between My Toes

Thomas completed an application for employment yesterday. His character is happy, personality is good, and he has an ability of yelling.
Yes, yes. He is indeed a very loud young man. I think I’ll hire him. I’m sure I can find something for a loud, happy, glad young man to do.

Team TLC Movie Night – Double Feature – Second Movie -Lillian’s choice: “The Secret of Moonacre”
Lillian says, “Good, liked the moon princess – Maria, recommend it, liked the story, very colorful, mysterious, and suspenseful.”
I say, “Lovely and magical story.”
