Basil absolutely melts whenever Thomas pets him. If he even hears Thomas’s voice, he starts kneading. He loves his Thomas. This makes my heart so happy.

Basil Loves Rubber Bouncy Balls

Basil and his rubber balls. So cute and funny. I found 15 balls in the utility closet yesterday. 😂🤣😂 There’s just enough of a gap between the door and floor. He likes to push the ball under, attacking the ball when it comes back out. But the balls don’t always come back.
Camilla Celebrates Her 52nd Birthday

On February 26, 2022 I turned 52 years old. I seem to be behind in many non-urgent tasks these days. My body decided to get my attention once I hit 50, along with being extremely exhausted. I’ve had my hands full addressing some health issues, along with addressing urgent or deadline intense matters for Thomas and Lillian.
We had a low-key, mild celebration. The Romano Duo and my brother came to our place, with Frank kicking things off by making me a couple of virgin bloody marys. We had lunch together, opened gifts, and then enjoyed a vegan, strawberry rhubarb pie. Thomas chose a gorgeous flower bouquet for me. ❤️❤️❤️
We also celebrated a win for Lillian. She has pretty much conquered her fear of cats, so we lit a candle for her to blow out in celebration. There’s something to be said for exposure therapy. It absolutely worked magic when Thomas finally convinced me to allow him to adopt a cat. Chad Basil the First came into our lives in December 2021 for Thomas to care for and have as emotional support. Lillian has slowly warmed up to him, at about the same pace as Basil has taken to open up to us.

The Path for Thomas – Dual Credits at TMCC High School and TMCC

Great news received this afternoon! First step complete and accepted for Thomas to graduate with his high school diploma and an AA degree in 2024! 👏👏👏 There are several ways to achieve this, and this option appealed to Thomas the most.
This particular path is to attend TMCC Magnet High School, while also taking college classes at TMCC. The high school is located on the same campus as the college. Thomas has to complete one more step (testing), and then he’ll be set. And if this doesn’t work out, we’ll fall back to his second option.
Bonus: The college courses are paid for by TMCC High School!

Spent the morning at TMCC’s Dandini campus while Thomas took the accuplacer test. The highest score possible is 300. Go Thomas!! He definitely surpassed the required scoring for final approval of the TMCC High school dual credit program.
It’s such a beautiful campus, and they had a vegan chick’n burger at the cafe. I’m so proud and happy for Thomas.
