Carefree and Living it Up

July 28 2016:

Team TLC sunset walk on the Damonte Ranch trail. So very cool! We saw a huge fish or two jumping and having a ball in the water. So carefree and living it up!

Plus got to see a few nutria swimming around. I had no idea there were fish in that water. Lots of talking, walking, observing, exploring, and discovery. I simply love, love, love our walks together …. and taking pictures …. Taking pictures inspires me! xoxo

Walk with Lillian Monday night. Gonna have to start going earlier. Keep missing the beginning of the sunset. Nice and cool at this time of day though. And … still beautiful!

July 2016 Date Day with Lillian

August 10 2016:

July’s date day was delayed due to our travels to and from the 2016 Chromosome 18 Conference. So we did something different for this date day.

After dinner Lillian and I headed to Whole Foods to pick out a cookie from the “Cookie Bar” … cheapest dessert ever …. and made with real food ingredients!

Next up we took our cookies to Audrey Harris Park so we could eat with a lovely view. When we got there, we saw the park was closed due to an event down below at the Bartley Ranch stage. We decided to go for a walk around Bartley Ranch and have our dessert later.

We enjoyed a wonderful time looking at the old equipment and buildings, trees, sky, and sunset. After our walk we enjoyed a slow, quiet, and peaceful drive the long way back to our end of town. I just love this drive of taking in all the farms and older houses and simply how peaceful it seems.

Next up was to head to Geiger Way Lookout to enjoy those cookies with a view. It was dark by the time we arrived so the pictures our fuzzy, yet they capture some of the beautiful essence. So incredibly wonderful.

And, last we enjoyed another slow and peaceful drive back home. I’d rank this one up there with one of our most beautiful date days. Simple and wonderful. xoxo

Peace and Bliss of Walking

July 22 2016:

Last nights walk = Words cannot even describe the feelings of peace and bliss that filled my heart. Walking with these two, listening to song birds, looking at flowers, trees, and clouds, watching Thomas and Lillian play with reed grass, and taking pictures …. Beyond perfect! xoxo

Walking and Mud Pie

July 20 2016:

Taught Thomas how to make a mud pie on our walk Monday night. He was so excited to see the water level had gone down a bit to expose this little area. Great mud!!! xoxo

The 2016 Chromosome 18 Conference: The Alamo

Thomas says I’m delirious. I was just going through the pictures I took at The Alamo … Laughing so hard that my stomach hurt. Who goes to visit The Alamo and takes one picture of the building and 20 of the oak trees and flowers? That would be me. I seriously didn’t realize I’d done that until now. Thomas is right. I’m deliriously in love with nature and taking pictures of her grace and beauty.

As I was beginning to pack the car Thursday morning, Thomas asked if we were going to see The Alamo before we left as it is on his list of places to visit. At first I told him we needed to get going and wouldn’t be able to do it this trip.

I changed my mind and said, “Yes, let’s do it.” He and I walked over while Lillian was finishing breakfast and getting dressed. It was only about a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel.

I’m incredibly grateful I listened to my heart. As we made the 3 day drive home, I asked each of them their most memorable moments. One of Thomas’ was seeing The Alamo ….

Beginning pictures with this amazing 140+ year old oak tree that was transplanted to the Alamo when it was a wee 40 years old! The main branches are over 50 feet long! I could have hung out with this tree all day! AMAZING!!!!

I didn’t realize it until looking at the pictures on Friday, but I only took ONE picture of the building. All the rest are of the walk there and the nature surrounding and within The Alamo. May you enjoy this view of The Alamo. xoxo

Wonderful, warm, and beautiful walk with Lillian yesterday. Blessed that she, too, loves our time in nature. Looking, listening, and discovering. xoxo

Walks and Tadpoles and Always Respond With Love

July 4 2016:

What an absolutely amazing way to begin our day! Went for an early morning solo walk and then for a family walk right after breakfast. Lillian and Thomas finally got to see the turtle!! And we saw bunches of tadpoles! Then a yummy, relaxing, divine swim. Yes, please. Thank you and bring me more. Incredibly grateful!!

July 5 2016:

A morning of learning and messages in contrast to yesterday morning. Lillian experienced emotional difficulties this morning which wasn’t pleasant for any of us.

This was right before we went to the pool. We were delayed and headed to the pool kinda grumpy. Thomas spotted the first three hearts as we were walking to the pool. I spotted the last one. We’ve got one with arms and legs and one sticking out its tongue. 😉

We stopped after the third and I shared with them that I felt this was our reminder to always respond with love. Everyone’s mood completely shifted after that and we had the pool to ourselves.

And, now, on with the preparations of getting ready for our 1,700 mile road trip on Thursday. xoxo

Romano Duo Visit June 2016

June 26 2016:

We went over to The Romano Duo’s temporary home for the next 4 days. Had some fun at the pool. They get to have a sleepover Monday night!! First night of respite for me since last August. xoxo

We had company for tonight’s walk! They got to see the ducklings, goslings, comorants, a huge frog, and the beaver! YAY!

June 27 2016:

They just left for their sleepover with the Romano Duo! First, we all went for a swim and had lunch poolside. Now, they’re ready for some Duo lovin’! And I get the first time alone at home since last August. I love hanging out with Team TLC all together, yet I am going to cherish every moment of this alone time. xoxo
