Wonderful and Present Moments

Wonderful walk with Thomas this afternoon. This amazing young man causes me to stay in the present moment and l i s t e n!!!!
For the topics he wishes to discuss require more than a yes or no. I find myself responding “I don’t know” quite often.
He’s 12 and he likes to talk about some deep stuff. He told Lillian tonight that age doesn’t equate to how smart you are. I am so grateful, grateful, grateful for him.
Tonight after dinner he thanked me for listening to him and talking with him about all that interests him. I do, at times, get frustrated with his topics and I don’t hide it. I’m thankful that I can share honestly with him at those times and roll with it at those times when I find the topics fascinating and interesting. xoxo

Lillian and Camilla January 2018 Date Day –
First stop: We shared Parmesan sea salt fries and jalapeño cheddar bread. Dessert of Mexican wedding cookie for me and gingerbread bar for her. Here’s to 15 and a half years of once a month Date days!!
Second stop – One of our favorite parks and walking trails for throwing the frisbee and a beautiful, peaceful, and quiet walk. xoxo

Day 3 of nature photo challenge … Thomas says that sometimes he doesn’t really want to go for a walk, yet he feels compelled to come along …. And he’s always glad he did. Nature does indeed call us to be with her. She soothes, inspires and refreshes us. xoxo

Relaxing and Peaceful
November 26 2017:
I hadn’t planned on a solo walk this morning, yet, the lake was calling. Had it all to myself and sat for a while on a huge, perfectly fitted rock with this view.
Listening to the gentle sounds of the water lapping and feeling the wind blowing was incredibly relaxing and peaceful as I handed over concerns to Mother Nature. Felt like I could have stayed in that spot all day. So blessed I listened to the call. xoxo

Isolation and Loneliness and Beauty and Confidence

Solo walk on this cloudy and cool morning.
This beauty caught my eye. Hanging out all alone while the other leaves are off playing in the distance.
On the one hand it displays beauty and confidence … and on the other, isolation and loneliness.
Speaks and mirrors how I have felt recently. Nature is so amazing. Nature also presented a beautiful heart shape too, yet I wanted this to have its own post. xoxoxo
