A Haunting Memory
Why does this memory haunt her? Why does it keep returning? She does not remember the exact age of when this happened. She would have been 5, 6 or 7 years old. The past couple of years when this memory surfaced she has taken the time to feel emotions she buried from that time …. sadness and anger. Even though she remembers not who was involved, she has forgiven whoever it was.
She used to ignore it. Telling herself either she imagined it or if it happened …
July 3 2018:
I’m a wimp. This is how I spent ladies night. A nearly scalding hot soak in the tub followed by a cold water cool down; while Thomas had dinner with his friend. Then, hanging with The Giggling Duo. They think I’m funny.

July 20 2015:
Such a wonderful walk this morning, surrounded by a symphony of birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. This morning the mantra was “Life loves me” with thoughts of gratitude for these legs and feet that assist me in going for these walks, these eyes that allow me to see all the love, the ears that allow me to hear the love, the water that I drink to love my body, and whatever I experienced in the moment.
Immediately upon my return, Lillian began escalating into a full blown melt down. I continued the earlier mantra in my thoughts and was able to remain calm. I suggested to Lillian that we take a break and focus on something else for a few minutes before she expanded (her word for blowing up); and then we could come back and continue our conversation. She said “Okay”.
We did that and afterwards I said, “Now, let’s talk.” She said, “About what. Everything’s okay now.” Good job Lillian!! That is huge for her! We are making progress! Wahoo!
And life does indeed love us. May you make this your mantra for today and let life LOVE you … xoxo

Team TLC sunset walk tonight with The Romano Duo and Robert. Beautiful night. And fun being silly with pictures. They head back to Surprise, Arizona tomorrow morning. A few more pictures to follow. xoxo

I’m in love with the leaves of this tree. The little veins, the color, the blue shimmery speckles, and the shadows. I have probably taken about 15 pictures of them.

Sunset walk with Lillian last night. It was a beautiful night and just what we both needed as we’re both experiencing “re-entry pains” from our respite from one another.
We followed this with a swim in the pool and a soak in the hot tub. Ahhhhhhh …. Just what we needed. xoxo

Lillian signing books at the 2018 Chromosome 18 Conference in Baltimore last month! We took 15 books with us and came home with one! We also took a handful of mine and Thomas’ books and only came back with two of those! We are super grateful!!

Cannabis Revealed – How the World’s Most Misunderstood Plant is Healing Everything from Chronic Pain to Epilepsy
I’m researching CBD oil and I was referred to this book by another Chromosome 18 mom. I’m glad she did. I loved how the author included history of cannabis and detailed information to help a lay person understand.
Plus, I got to learn about the endocannabinoid system that we all have within us. I had never even heard of it! Great book for anyone wanting to educate themselves on this topic.
