Finished a Year Long Project

December 31 2017:

Just finished a year long project! YaY, YaY, YaY!! I’m done! I’m done! Let’s Dance!

This year long project is a different one from Lillian’s book! I finally got every meaningful post and photo off of here and onto the Team TLC blog!! Every day I went through “On this Day” and copy and pasted into our digital journal at https://www.theteamtlc.com …. THAT was a TON of work.

Yet, now there are no worries about losing memories and photos! Facebook does not make it easy to search through posts so that’s why I had to wait for the “On this Day” feature every day! Whew! You cannot even imagine how much time this took! Wahooooo!!!

Poof! I Finally Know the 2018 Theme Word

January 16 2018:

For the past 4 or 5 years, I’ve had a theme word for the new year. It usually becomes clear some time in December; at least by January 1st, what the theme is to be. Except for this year. I was getting kind of discouraged that it had not come to the surface.

….. Until last weekend …. Poof! There it was! Sign after sign after sign! Talk about chills and goose bumps! Wheeee! Can’t wait to share it. I’ll be writing a blog post about it. Here’s last years … Along with a beautiful rose.

First, I need to finish with Thomas and Lillian’s hand made Christmas gift. I got a bit behind this year! HA! Will share that when I’m done too. I’m done with the writing part; just need to make it into wall art now! Getting caught up is a beautiful thing!! Ahhhhhh …. It’s a bright, bright, sun shiny, pink rose day! xoxo

Dearest Lillian: May You Always

January 17 2018:

Finally finished Lillian’s hand made Christmas gift! Just need to add string for hanging! xoxo

Dearest Lillian

May you always live with an open and light heart,
May you always live knowing you are unconditionally loved,
May you always live knowing and allowing peace, joy, and abundance.

May good fortune smile and shower upon you,
May joy stalk you and be hidden in every nook and cranny of your life,
May peace float always above you as a puffy cloud in a bright blue sky.

May the shadows ever be …. Go here to read more …

People Say I’m Crazy

December 29 2017:

Just back from running a very quick errand. This song came on the radio. I turned up the volume and drove right on past the turn for our condos.

Sang as loud as I could muster and drove until it was over. Made a u-turn and headed home. That felt sooooo good! I love this song … Causes my heart to open and melt into the beauty of knowing .. xoxoxo

People say I’m crazy
Doing what I’m doing
Well, they give me all kinds of warnings
To save me from ruin
When I say that I’m okay, well they look at me kinda strange
“Surely, you’re not happy now, you no longer play the game”

People say I’m lazy
Dreaming my life away
Well they give me all kinds of advice
Designed to enlighten me
When I tell them that I’m doing fine watching shadows on the wall
“Don’t you miss the big time boy, you’re no longer on the ball?”

I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go

Ah, people ask me questions
Lost in confusion
Well, I tell them there’s no problem
Only solutions
Well, they shake their heads and they look at me, as if I’ve lost my mind
I tell them there’s no hurry, I’m just sitting here doing time

I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round

I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go – John Lennon

November 21 2015:

So grateful for the young man I get to call my son. Lillian and I have been down with a cold. I went to bed at 6:30 last night. He came into the bedroom and told me this house just isn’t a home without me in the living room with them. Then he felt my forehead and after checking with a thermometer we saw I had a 100 degree fever. He ran and got an ice pack for me. So extremely blessed!

I had the most interesting experience during the 2 hours I was resting in the bedroom. Instead of sleeping my thoughts overflowed with a presentation on having a successful mindful business, how to be mindful with customers and clients. It was all so clear, my heart was racing, and I was pumped up to share this wonderful information. I was in front of a huge room of people speaking about this topic with many dear friends who were there to support me.

I kept thinking that I needed to get up and get it all down so I wouldn’t forget; yet my body was so achy and tired. Then I knew I wouldn’t forget it. It’s there and not going anywhere. Now. Who I am supposed to present this too?? HA!

Definitely the MOST interesting sickness I have ever experienced. I chose this time to be with and connect with the aches and pains and ickiness instead of wishing it weren’t there and pushing it away. Very interesting ….

Looking at Lights Adventures and The Romano Duo and Amazing Lunch

December 19 2017:

Just back from driving around and looking at all the lights. First a stop for fries for Lillian and a chocolate shake for Thomas.

I had my treat with me already … A lovely big, box of soft tissues so I could blow my nose every few seconds! A nasty cold hitting me just as we finished Lillian’s book …. Hmmmmmm …. At least it waited until we were finished.

What fun seeing the blow up decorations dancing in the wind! The lit trees were absolutely beautiful!! Looked like lit dancing trees! xoxo

Are We Focusing on What Really Matters

**THROWBACK POST**

November 19 2014:

I was gifted a ticket to a dinner event tonight which I joyfully accepted and attended. I really love talking with others and having conversations that go deeper than “How are the kids? and How are things going?” I love asking people questions beyond small talk and learning more and sharing moments with them.

I was thinking about the difference between now and when I used to attend these events regularly without missing one single event for 3 years when I walked by the kitchen table and saw this note that Lillian wrote in class today … Made my eyes sweat like crazy ….

Here I am focusing on things that really don’t matter and receiving a timely little reminder to be grateful, grateful, grateful. I am grateful to all who have stood by me as I’ve done some intense soul searching over the past few years … Grateful for life. Grateful for LOVE. Grateful for amazing kids who are two of my greatest teachers. And grateful to the person who gifted me that ticket!

Grateful Note from Lillian 11.19.14
