Who We Are

Team TLC = Thomas, Lillian and Camilla = One Mom + Two Kids = XOXO

Our Team = Nature lovers, Unschooling, Book Lovers, Writers, Nature based schooling, Practicing mindfulness and emotional connection, Inspired by photography, Tiny home dwellers, Minecraft enthusiast

**More details** We are truly open to hear ideas about what others need help with “getting done”. We will be honest if it’s something we do not feel capable of helping with.

From errands that keep getting put off, to researching products/curriculums, to sorting things like LEGO pieces, beads, nuts, bolts (we like sorting!!), to scooping the backyard dog poo.

On a different note, outside of the Team TLC services, I specialize in nature mentoring (showing parents how to help their child not lose their nature connection and retain their sense of wonder) and as a mindfulness/positive parenting tutor. With this I can assist with introducing mindfulness into a family via mindful eating and other mindfulness practices. And I also offer a unique nature centered style of one to one coaching.

Feel free to ask questions or for more details! xoxo

September 28 2016:

This afternoon we dropped by Pixels & Ink to pick up these two prints for the Young Blood exhibit. They are 10 X 10 and look AMAZING!!

Come by and see Thomas this Friday from 6-8 pm at The Holland Project … You can also purchase Thomas’ book, “Biggest Little Photographer”, for the LEGO enthusiast in your life!

I was asking Hunter at Pixels & Ink about cheaper options (other than mounting on foam board) for the exhibition. We are also having him scan Lillian’s latest abstract art so that she can sell prints at the Business Fair on the 8th.

Before we left, Hunter offered to donate the mounting on foam board!!! We are so grateful to Hunter and Pixels & Ink! This was our first time using the business. We will not be using any other place now!

New Discovery for Thomas

September 15 2016:

A couple of weeks ago I discovered there is a “Brick Store” here in Reno. Thomas was with me today and we went inside to check it out.

A great, locally owned place and the manager there is so awesome!!
Thomas said he couldn’t even describe the feelings he had in that store. It felt good. Good energy, good vibes!!

PLUS, I think you’ll be seeing Thomas’ upcoming book, Biggest Little Photographer, in that little ole store! Wahoo!! Bet they’d love for Thomas to have a book signing there! Stay tuned! xoxoxo

She Spread Her Wings …. And Flew – Happy 15th Birthday Lillian

September 14 2016:

So this one turns 15 at 11:27 pm tonight … We’ve been celebrating all day as hopefully we’ll be asleep by that time!

… And she spread her wings …. Took a deep breath … And, just like that …. She FLEW!!! xoxo ….

For anyone who has been following all of the amazing accomplishments Lillian has made since this past July, you truly understand my comment above. They are happening so fast I cannot even keep up with posting them here.

See this picture below .. That’s a first … Taken last night on a Team TLC adventure. Jumping in the air bunches and bunches of times while I took 771 pictures of her …

4 pounds of heaven grown into a full blown fairy angel who knows she is to be a writer and helper. She has indeed done it her way … From butt scooting instead of crawling, talking different than others, eating, drinking, walking different than others …. and on and on and on … Blessed, blessed, blessed and so grateful we chose one another to teach and learn. Happy Happy Happy 15th Birthday Lillian Darnell!!!

Today is her day. After physical therapy this morning I took her to pick out sparkly headbands, then for gluten free donuts at Haven on Earth, and then home.

After resting for a few minutes, she opened her gifts, Thomas and I sang her Happy Birthday, and then we ate way too much of the gluten free chocolate cake (with oh so yummy cream cheese frosting) that we made last night.

Then we finished the celebration with a “live” Facebook birthday party!! That was interesting and fun!!!

Fall Break Adventures 2015

October 27 2015:

Fall Break Adventures – Picnic at the park, volleyball, walking, collecting sticks, and taking fun pictures. Our word of the day is “love”. How was love part of our adventures? Lillian says, for her, it was the sun and the peacefulness (we had the whole park to ourselves). Thomas says, for him, it was collecting sticks and looking at the trees. For me, it was taking pictures of trees, walking, and collecting nut shells. xoxo

Fall Break Adventures – Fun drive up Geiger Grade to Virginia City yesterday. Our word of the day was “love”. How was love part of our adventures? Lillian says, for her, it was walking along the boardwalk, window shopping in Stone Age Quarry, and seeing the city park, library, and pool.

Thomas says, for him, seeing the remains of old Geiger Grade, window shopping in Stone Age Quarry, and seeing the wild horses. For me, it was their excitement as if it was the first time we had done this, wild horses, and eating fresh roasted pumpkin seeds on the drive back home. xoxo

Fall Break Adventures – Today was a walk in the rain, then a pre-dinner candlelight dessert picnic in the car with an amazing view at Audrey Harris Park. Thomas and I had mini pumpkin cheesecake and Lillian had a ghost cookie. Then home for homemade chicken noodle soup! YUM!!!

Fall Break Adventures – Went to Damonte Ranch park this afternoon. Word of the day is “wonder”. Our park adventure and wonder = For Thomas, it was the cold, how high he kicked rocks and bark.

For Lillian, it was, walking through the maze, throwing the ball with me, the section of the trail we walked on, and the walk itself. For me, it was visiting the park in our old neighborhood that we’ve not been to in nearly 2 years and the sense of feeling so at home and having a quiet long walk with two amazing young people. xoxo

Last Fall Break Adventure!! Drove around Lake Tahoe – from Reno to Carson City to South Lake Tahoe to North Lake Tahoe and then back to Reno via Mt Rose Highway. All in 5 hours. First stop was Logan Shoals Vista where we had a picnic lunch. Amazing place for a picnic! Words of the day were “song” and “unity” (couldn’t come to a balanced decision between the team!).

Lake Tahoe Adventure + Song/Union = For Lillian, Song = It was me singing every time Lake Tahoe came into view. We heard “Monster Mash” 3 times and that was funny! Union = Me helping her up and down the stairs at each stop, and having fun and being silly in the car. For Thomas, Song = When he was looking through the binoculars at Inspiration Point. Unity = When he was on the big rock at Logan Shoals. For me, Song/Unity (they became one for me) = As we were driving from Reno to Carson City the view from the bridge brought “Amazing Grace” to my thoughts.

Immediately after that, while driving into Carson Valley, we heard “Take My Breath Away”, and rounded it out with “Best Day of My Life”. At one point staring into the big, beautiful, emerald green water, with the rocks and the trees; I couldn’t even feel myself anymore. What an amazing and fabulous experience. I mean, look at this amazing place!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! BIG xoxoxoxo!!
