Throwback Post: Lillian and Camilla July 2016 Date Day

**THROWBACK POST**

August 11 2016:

Lillian and Camilla July 2016 Date Day …. July’s date day was delayed due to our travels to and from the 2016 Chromosome 18 Conference. So we did something different for this date day.

After dinner Lillian and I headed to Whole Foods to pick out a cookie from the “Cookie Bar” … cheapest dessert ever …. and made with real food ingredients!

Next up we took our cookies to Audrey Harris Park so we could eat with a lovely view. When we got there, we saw the park was closed due to an event down below at the Bartley Ranch stage. We decided to go for a walk around Bartley Ranch and have our dessert later.

We enjoyed a wonderful time looking at the old equipment and buildings, trees, sky, and sunset. After our walk we enjoyed a slow, quiet, and peaceful drive the long way back to our end of town. I just love this drive of taking in all the farms and older houses and simply how peaceful it seems.

Next up was to head to Geiger Way Lookout to enjoy those cookies with a view. It was dark by the time we arrived so the pictures are fuzzy, yet they capture some of the beautiful essence. So incredibly wonderful.

And, last we enjoyed another slow and peaceful drive back home. I’d rank this one up there with one of our most beautiful date days. Simple and wonderful. xoxo

Gorgeous Scripts Wildlife Preserve With Random Soft Spots in Galena Forest

January 22 2022

Gorgeous sunrise this morning.

January 25 2022

Thomas and I went for an incredible walk in Script’s Wildlife Preserve this afternoon. It’s always beautiful! It was wonderful running into you, Barbara! And chatting for a bit with you and Bill.

January 31 2022

Thomas and I went for walk in Galena Forest. That was a workout. Hard, compacted snow with random soft, sinking spots, and slippery spots. Felt great, though. Came across a lovely, nearly flat snowman. 😂☃️😂 Got to try out my new snow boots. Vegan, barefoot/minimalist style. Love them! Wonderful walk.

Throwback Post: Science Experiment Fun

**THROWBACK POST**

August 17 2013:

Science experiment adventures at our house today ….. Growing crystals for Thomas and invisible ink for Lillian. The crystals are in Thomas’ room nice and quiet so they can grow for the night …. surrounded by our homemade rocks and cards with positive words so they can grow beautiful. Invisible ink is drying so I can decipher their message to me!

Team TLC and Romano Duo Christmas 2021 – Great Food With Harsh Driving Conditions and New Slippers

December 24 2021

Cranberry sauce and green bean casserole ready for tomorrow. Felt like cooking, experimenting, so made a vegan mushroom loaf for me and Thomas for tomorrow.

December 25 2021

Sending love to all, and warmth from 34 degrees! 🎄🎄🎄❄️❄️❄️🎄🎄🎄Team TLC, The Romano Duo, and Robert.

A beautiful afternoon with a lovely vegan dinner. My mom made vegan deviled eggs for me and Thomas. Very creative! Merry Christmas to all. May you be surrounded by love, joy, peace, and laughter.

Thomas took this photo during our drive home. This was right before I nearly threw up. 🤮 I have 4 wheel drive and can handle driving in snow, as long as I can go slow. However, when I can’t see the lanes, or the road in front of me, it absolutely unnerves me.

For local friends: Once I exited 580, getting on old 395, I was able to relax. I cannot handle the new freeway at night, in high winds or blizzard, snow conditions. I feel much safer on old 395, even though there was more snow on the road.

All good now. Car unloaded, ready to relax.

December 26 2021

Thank you to The Romano Duo! Who else got new slippers? ❄️☕️☕️☕️❄️ And since I get holes in them so quickly, two sets!

Thanks to my daddy for the new cold weather boots. Wide toe box, barefoot/minimalist style, and vegan. Need to send them back for a half size bigger to allow room for cozy socks. Love them!

Christmas in a Cozy Cottage – Festive Fun with Camilla

December 17 2021:

Thanks to Sharon for having me participate in this fun feature!

Describe your ideal Christmas.

My kids and I would spend Christmas week in a cozy cottage in the forest. I would wake to find a steady flow of plump snowflakes falling, the ground covered in a sparkling, thick layer of snow. While the kids are still sleeping, I sit in front of the fire, with a view of the trees, my hands wrapped around a mug of hot coffee, made from freshly ground beans. I spend time reading while taking in the beauty of the moment.

Later in the day, after gifts have been exchanged, we bundle ourselves, going for a breathtaking walk amongst the snow covered trees. When we return we unbundle, slip into bathing suits, and have a soak in the warm, relaxing jacuzzi. We end the day by watching a favorite movie before drifting into a peaceful, restful sleep.

Veggie sushi at Pisces Sushi

Miso soup for me with a Franklin roll. Thomas had Edamame with a Franklin, Kappa Maki, and Green Machine roll.

Followed by a great walk at Wilbur May Arboretum, and lots of reminiscing.
