Sensed it in My Bones

April 29 2019:

It was the long walk today. What a beautiful walk it was. Light, free, joyful. Listened to the birdsong. Felt the warmth of the sun and the lovely breeze. Smelled lilacs. Tasted my true self. Sensed newness in my bones. What a beautiful walk it was.

Sun Wishes

Went for a walk
Made a wish
Drew in a breath
Pursed my lips
Blew the wish
On waves of wind
To the loving
Embrace of the sun.

Having fun with these dandelion photos! Just love em!

Goodbye Dreamcatcher Friend

April 28 2019:

The only earrings I’ve worn for the past 6 or 7 years. Seriously, no others have been worn during that time.

They’ve always been deeply special for me and they’ve always held a beautiful energy. Mom and Frank got them for me in New Mexico about 7 years ago.

I lost one this past Tuesday. I had put them in my bag and one must have been caught on my keys when I pulled them out.

Change, shifting, something is definitely occurring. There’s this loss of a special earring and what I’m letting go of on Wednesday, the 4th.

I will miss you dear earring and sad you are with me no longer. Yet, I’m feeling an interesting and tingly excitement for what’s to come.

The sole earring that remains will become a part of my alter. And on occasion, I may just wear one earring. What the heck! 💙💙💙

Movie Night: Casablanca

April 27 2019:

Team TLC movie night – Thomas’ choice: “Casablanca” – We’ve seen this once before. Thomas wanted to see it again.

Thomas says, “It was good and I like the ending as usual.”

Lillian says, “Good, liked the music, and I liked Ilsa’s style.

I say, “Always enjoy watching this. So glad Thomas wanted to see it again.”

Thomas and Camilla April 2019 Date Day

April 27 2019:

Thomas and Camilla April 2019 Date Day – First stop – Kids on Big Rigs 2019

Thomas had a blast shooting water from the bag the Forest Service guys use (forgot to ask what it’s called)!! I may have done it too!! 💦 💦 💦

That handcar is a workout!! Couldn’t get a picture of us on there as my hands were busy! 😜 It was uphill on the way back! Whew! His favorite was the emergency radio vehicle!

Second stop – An appetizer and soup at Great Full Gardens South Meadows Reno.

Organic blue corn chips with amazing salsa and guacamole! Chayote chowder for me and totally tomato for Thomas. And look at the gorgeous salt n pepper shakers! My dream house! Ahhhhh …

Movie Night: Harvey

April 26 2019:

Team TLC extra movie night. “Harvey” – A yearly tradition around Easter for the past 5 or 6 years. A little late this year as I forgot to reserve it at the library.

Why a tradition at Easter? Well. One of the main characters is a 6 foot pooka in the form of a rabbit! Ha!

I say, “I adore this movie. Josephine Hull and James Stewart are phenomenal!! My favorite quote from the movie is by Elwood P. Dowd (played by Stewart) … “I always have a wonderful time wherever I am and with whom ever I’m with. My mom used to say to me, ‘In this World you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.’ For years I was smart. I recommend pleasant.”
Another favorite quote by Veta (played by Hull) … “I don’t want my brother to be normal. I don’t like those people.” You’ll have to watch it to get this one.

Thomas says, “It was good, as usual. I like the music. Especially the music for the scenes with Harvey.”

Lillian didn’t want to watch this year so we watched it while she’s at The Romano Duo’s place.

Even the Wind Likes to Read While Beautiful Buds Listen in the Shadows of Us and Birdsong

April 23 2019:

A book.
An egret.
A flowering bush.
All discovered on the walk yesterday. When I came across each one, I was moved to stop and take in the scene. Most especially, the open book with pages being turned by the ghostly wind. Even the wind likes to read. 😘📖💨🌸💖 (To clarify, the book is not mine … it was simply sitting on the rock with its pages being turned by the wind .. Struck me as beautiful!)

April 25 2019:

It was the long walk today. Will need to start getting out there earlier. When it warms up here, it don’t mess around!! Loved these beautiful buds!!

April 25 2019:

Sunset walk with Thomas … Nice and warm with a light breeze. Beautiful and peaceful. Largest family so far … 23 or more goslings!! He’ll let me take a photo of his shadow. I’ll take whatever I can get!

April 26 2019:

Today’s walk. Sat for a bit underneath this tree. Listened to the birdsong and the ducks and the geese. Felt the silky air against my skin. Smelled the smells. Haven’t done that in way too long. Ahhhhhh …

When I Know It Is Time for a Lillian Break

April 24 2019:

Reasons I KNOW it’s time for a Lillian break:

I’ve been can’t-move-my-body exhausted (with a side order of pounding headache) every night this week.
I turned the heat on last night instead of the air conditioner … it was a balmy 75 degrees almost all night! 🤪😂 Realized what I had done not too long before getting up.
One of the 3 times Lillian woke me up, she asked for throat spray (homemade with cold spring water and peppermint essential oil) …. She got one good spray directly up her nose! Oops!!! Sorry Lillian …
I had a peanut butter & jelly sandwich for dinner tonight.

The Romano Duo picked up Lillian this afternoon after our library volunteering. She’s off to spend 3 nights with them; rejoining Thomas and I on Saturday. Just in time for movie night! Hallelujah … It’s break-from-Lillian time! Love you to infinity Lillian! And, grateful for our breaks!! (Photo from May 2018)
