Throwback Post: Thomas Knows and Slight Hearing Loss and Swimming and Walking

**THROWBACK POST**

July 30 2014:

Thomas knows Lillian is not thrilled to have his arm around her …. So he just kind of hovers it over her shoulder!

Lillian had another hearing test today which confirmed slight hearing loss in right ear and even more so in left ear. Next is an ENT doctor to make sure nothing is wrong in there. Lillian already says she will NOT wear a hearing aide.

Great swim after the hearing testing, fun game of UNO, and another awesome walk! Date day for me and Thomas tomorrow. YAY!

Throwback Post: The Litmus Test

**THROWBACK POST**

July 30 2015:

“The Litmus Test” …. Brought to us by the wonderful siblings of the Chromosome 18 Registry. The Sibling Panel is one of my favorite sessions at the conference. It’s the ONE session I do NOT miss.

Pretty much all siblings agree about “The Litmus Test” as something they unofficially use with new friendships and with potential significant others.

Two siblings had brought along their significant others and what they had to say made my eyes sweat! What they shared is so beautiful …. What they had learned being at the conference, the joy of being around all of us, and thanked us for having them.

I feel “The Litmus Test” applies all across the board … potential friends of the sibs, potential friends of the parents, potential significant others for sibs and potential significant others for parents. “The Litmus Test” … Sounds like a GREAT book title to me!!

And, Ronda, what your amazing daughter shared had my eyes sweating a river. I, too, feel that part of the purpose is to help us learn that change happens within our own minds and our beautiful children facilitate this for us.

Oceans of love and gratitude to the siblings and their significant others … xoxo  (Thank you Andy for facilitating the panel!)

Throwback Post: Book Musings: One Grain of Rice

**THROWBACK POST**

July 30 2016:

One Grain of Rice

A mathematical folk tale about wisdom and fairness. A village girl in India teaches a raja what it truly means to be wise and fair. Reading this we learnt the surprising power of doubling one grain of rice every day for thirty days …. growing into more than one billion grains of rice.

We all LOVE books by DEMI. The illustrations are simply unmatched with content that’s bursting with wisdom!

Throwback Post: I Want Food With Fig Preserves

**THROWBACK POST**

August 2 2014:

Lovey is sure enjoying her outdoor time! After one week of being a part of Team TLC, she’s settled in good and we’ve gotten to hear all of the cute sounds guinea pigs make. It only took her a few days to start making the “I want food” sound whenever she hears me in the kitchen. She’s got us trained perfectly already!! Lots of love to all y’all today! xoxo

Throwback Post: Inspired and Blessed and Peaceful

**THROWBACK POST**

August 2 2016:

Lillian and I had a beautiful walk last night. Walking with Thomas and Lillian inspires me and I’m blessed they feel the same. xoxo

There are times when a swim feels amazing and then there are times like today. Those times when all that exists is you and the water with an indescribably peaceful feeling …. Floating and feeling the water against ones skin. Today has been weird. This was a blessing in the weirdness! xoxo
