March 27 2018:

Uh-oh! What?

This is how I found Ms. Yonce this afternoon when getting her for a walk. She was like, “YAY!! You’re here! Let’s go walk. There’s nothing wrong here.”

Then she grabbed that gigantic blue ball and held it in her mouth for the entire walk! She is so darn cute!!

March 28 2018:

This was incredibly delicious!! Cucumber and tomato salsa. Tomato, English cucumber, sweet onion, orange pepper, jalapeño, garlic, sea salt, and black pepper. Heaping spoonfuls on top of a vegan burger with sautéed sweet onions and crimini mushrooms. Yum, yum, yum!!!

March 31 2018:

Miss Yonce has a thing for twigs and branches. She’s kinda crazy and different. And, well. I kinda love that!!! So blessed I get to walk her for her humans!!

Fun and Pinecones and Windy and Beautiful and Quiet and Egret and Shadows and a Crow and Blossoms

March 25 2018:

Lillian and I had a fun walk this afternoon. Kicked pinecones for half of the walk … that’s a workout!! It was a wee bit windy, yet beautiful and quiet.

March 26 2018:

Solo walk this morning …. The egrets are back! YaY!!! Just adore the variety of visitors to the lake. He posed for me too. Good job handsome! It was a cold, yet beautiful walk.

March 29 2018:

Solo walk this morning. Shadows, a crow, and blossoms. That’s definitely a story and I’m in the midst of it. Nature speaks loudly of silence and Knowing.

March 30 2018:

Team TLC Extra Movie Night – Easter weekend 4 or 5 years ago Thomas and Lillian wanted to watch something with rabbits.

On such short notice this is what I came up with and we’ve watched it every year since! A 6 foot pooka in the form of a rabbit counts right??? Plus, Josephine Hull and James Stewart are phenomenal in this.

Quotes from Elwood P. Dowd (James Stewart) …. “Every day is a perfect day.”

“I always have a wonderful time wherever I am and whoever I’m with.”

“In this world you must be oh so smart or oh so kind. For years I was smart. I recommend kind.”

Thomas says, “I like it a lot and I like watching it every year!”

Lillian skipped watching this year.

Dean Martin Got His Foot Stuck in the Cement

What does Dean Martin have to do with this yummy dinner?

We’re at The Romano Casa for dinner and learned from the curator, Frank Romano, that as a young man he worked at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Frank was working the night Dean Martin came to make his footprint. Mr. Martin had been drinking a bit and his foot got stuck in the cement. Frank had to help him get his foot and shoe out of the cement. There ya go!

Team TLC – Easter 2018

We had a very low key, stay at home Easter Sunday. Thomas and Lillian each got some of their favorite things and some surprises. We hid plastic eggs in the house and had a great time finding them!

March 29 2018:

Lillian Darnell and Camilla March 2018 Date Day – 1st stop:

Lunch and dessert – Parmesan fries for Lillian followed by a yummy iced shortbread bunny cookie!

Roasted potato and garlic pasta for me followed by a vegan gingerbread cookie! That potato was delicious!! And the gingerbread cookie was the perfect sweet and spicy treat to follow the garlic pasta. Sigh!! Yum!!

Next: Smelling yummy soaps. Lavender mint and coconut milk. Smelled incredibly delicious!!

Last stop: One of our favorite parks. Reading first with this amazing view and then going for a beautiful walk.

I Never Imagined It Would Be So Fun

HDMS Multicultural night was a blast! I got to help serve the awesome array of South American dishes brought in by the families of Candelaria students. Thomas was super excited to perform the Happy Dance with his classmates. He said he was so happy he almost cried. All performances were amazing! We got to travel to South America, Asia, ancient Egypt, The Renaissance, The Galapagos Islands, and Meso-America .. Mayan, Inca and Aztecs …

Such wonderful people!
