Even the Wind Likes to Read While Beautiful Buds Listen in the Shadows of Us and Birdsong

April 23 2019:

A book.
An egret.
A flowering bush.
All discovered on the walk yesterday. When I came across each one, I was moved to stop and take in the scene. Most especially, the open book with pages being turned by the ghostly wind. Even the wind likes to read. 😘📖💨🌸💖 (To clarify, the book is not mine … it was simply sitting on the rock with its pages being turned by the wind .. Struck me as beautiful!)

April 25 2019:

It was the long walk today. Will need to start getting out there earlier. When it warms up here, it don’t mess around!! Loved these beautiful buds!!

April 25 2019:

Sunset walk with Thomas … Nice and warm with a light breeze. Beautiful and peaceful. Largest family so far … 23 or more goslings!! He’ll let me take a photo of his shadow. I’ll take whatever I can get!

April 26 2019:

Today’s walk. Sat for a bit underneath this tree. Listened to the birdsong and the ducks and the geese. Felt the silky air against my skin. Smelled the smells. Haven’t done that in way too long. Ahhhhhh …

When I Know It Is Time for a Lillian Break

April 24 2019:

Reasons I KNOW it’s time for a Lillian break:

I’ve been can’t-move-my-body exhausted (with a side order of pounding headache) every night this week.
I turned the heat on last night instead of the air conditioner … it was a balmy 75 degrees almost all night! 🤪😂 Realized what I had done not too long before getting up.
One of the 3 times Lillian woke me up, she asked for throat spray (homemade with cold spring water and peppermint essential oil) …. She got one good spray directly up her nose! Oops!!! Sorry Lillian …
I had a peanut butter & jelly sandwich for dinner tonight.

The Romano Duo picked up Lillian this afternoon after our library volunteering. She’s off to spend 3 nights with them; rejoining Thomas and I on Saturday. Just in time for movie night! Hallelujah … It’s break-from-Lillian time! Love you to infinity Lillian! And, grateful for our breaks!! (Photo from May 2018)

Saying Goodbye to Different iz Good Website

April 28 2019:

On May 4th, I’m going to let go of the last remnants of something I worked very hard at creating. In 2010, I created and set up a 501(c)3 Nevada nonprofit corporation by the name of Turning Views Foundation. With a slogan of “Different iz Good” … (slogan inspired by the amazing and very missed Susan Moran).

The nonprofit was inspired by Lillian when iPods and iPhones were first beginning to be used as Assistive Technology. Insurance did not cover these devices at that time (for using to communicate) and I saw a great need to help others have access to this technology.

During our 3 years we gifted either an iPad, iTouch or iPhone to about 20 recipients who were in need! After 3 years, insurance companies finally began to cover these for people in need and the Foundation was more than I could handle alone; along with my other responsibilities. I chose not continue with it at that time.

I have continued to pay to renew the domain every year for the past 6 years. It’s time to let it go … If you were a part of all we did, you may want to head over and see if there’s anything you want to save from the website. And if you’re interested to know what it was all about go check it out! (website on the attached logo image)

This post is not calling for sadness. It calls for rejoicing in what can be accomplished when we come together! It calls for making way for the new and beautiful things to come! It’s about purging the old to welcome the new … And, so it is! Much and deep love for everyone that was involved in the Foundation for those 3 years! ❤️❤️❤️

Latest News: Coming Soon – Words of Alchemy

April 25 2019:

Celebration time! I finally finished Round 1 of filtering through writings for the next book! Many more rounds to go. Yet, getting that first one completed is nearly the hardest!

“Words of Alchemy” is under way and is a collection of poetry written from 2013 to current – the words that alchemized my life experiences over these past 6 years. I have the book cover designed in my mind. Hope to get an actual digital image soon.

I cannot believe I wrote that first poem in May 2013 …

Easter Sunday 2019 – Hoppy Hoppy Joy Joy

April 21 2019:

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Beautiful flowers at The Romano Duo’s place …. 🧡🧡🧡

Getting ready for some yummy delicious food and laughter at The Romano Duo’s place.

Almost didn’t make it! Rosey, the car, now has crack in the radiator and was overheating on the way here! Ugh!! All filled up with coolant again and ready for the drive home.

Now for the food post!!! Look at this cute cake my mom made! Thomas and Lillian each enjoyed pieces of the ear!!

And Frank made me a refreshing virgin Bloody Mary for starters. And, check out these amazing vegan “deviled eggs” she made just for me!!! I was pleasantly surprised!! They are yummy too (made from potato)!!

And, and, my very own vegan potato salad …. squeal! What a great meal this was! I brought the baked beans with chunks of “pork” (jackfruit). That was a hit!! Two more … check out that cucumber salad and roasted sweet potatoes!! Good food heaven!!!

More photos from Easter to include a couple of bloopers. I was tickling Thomas’ back. The last picture cracks me up! Lillian looks so innocent and I’m tickling Thomas.

The last of the photos from Easter Sunday. To include more silliness and bloopers!

Tasty Thai for Thomas and Camilla at Moon Rabbit Cafe

April 20 2019:

Thomas and I enjoyed dinner at Moon Rabbit Cafe’s Pay-What-You-Can Community Cafe! It was a “Tasty Thai” experience specially created by chef Evan Berry!

For starters we enjoyed corn/tofu fritters and veggie spring rolls with sweet chili sauce and peanut sauce. The coconut limeaid was so good! Thomas had Thai coconut chicken curry and I had veggie yellow curry with a side of Jasmine rice. Thomas completed with a homemade mango pudding; which I skipped as it is made with gelatin.

Grateful to Reno Buddhist Center for facilitating this every other month. Yum!

The Alchemy of All Things – Renga Poem by Team TLC

Re-posting with this lovely graphic for easy sharing on social media and pinterest … Hint, hint … 🙂 🙂 … Sharing buttons at bottom of post …

Love is Magical

Cows are loud and can moo
sometimes they say,
I love you!

Cows have milk,
and cows eat grass.

You are surrounded by love
every breath you take is love
You are love

Guinea pigs wheek and guinea pigs meek,
lovey dovey guinea piggy moo!

Love is the butterfly
gracefully it flies
magical is it’s color

Love is magical
the alchemy of peace.

Airplanes flying
through the air
fun galore!

How beautiful the bird flies,
as the wind.

Love is the tree
Love is the flower
Love is the silence.

Flowers blossom
pollen falls.

Rainbow is the sky
Rainbow is the water
Rainbow is the colors of the earth.

Nature is love
Nature knows how to be.

Team tlc
always kind
always thinking.

Kindness is always there
Kindness is like friendship

A wise man
is kind to the kind
and kind to the unkind

A wise man
under a tree

Blue bird flies to Alaska
Red bird flies to Hawaii
White bird flies to Australia

The magical hummingbird
arrives on a warm summer day

Sushi
best food ever
try some

Pineapple
Most delicious food ever

Mindful eating
Mindful living
The way of peace and happiness

Eating is fun
and yummy

Apple trees grow with sunshine
Butterflies grow with food
Cake gets eaten fast or slow.

Beings, trees, and insects
We are all one love.
