First “stop”: Lunch from Teriyaki Madness. Spicy chicken bowl for Thomas. Spicy tofu bowl for me. Eaten at The TLC Casa. 💚💚💚
Tip for vegans: Ask them to cook your dish in a wok, otherwise it is fried in the same oil as the meat dishes. They were happy to make it work so I didn’t have to order lunch from two different places.
Lillian n Camilla May 2015 Date Day – Part 1 … To the store for nacho ingredients. Then outdoor dining of said yummy nachos. So good!!!
Lillian n Camilla May 2015 Date Day – Part 2 … An after dinner walk, then home for reading together, a dance party, and a movie about birds.
Lillian n Camilla May 2015 Date Day – Part 3 ….. Dessert!!! Chocolate sprinkles donut for Lillian and mini cheesecake for me. That cheesecake was pure taste bud heaven!!! YUM!!
Lillian n Camilla May 2015 Date Day – Part 4 … Fun at my favorite park – Virginia Foothills Park!! As close as I can get to giving this girl a kiss! xoxo
First – Car picnic at Audrey Harris Park – low budget style … burger and fries for Thomas and for dessert, a few salt water taffy pieces for Thomas and ginger spice drops for me. Pictures of the view at Audrey Harris Park – Beautiful!
Last stop – Little Washoe Lake for some digging in the sand! We dug a huge hole. Check out the canal we dug! And, look! I’m made of bubbles! Knew it!! 🏝💚💙
First stop: Enjoying the daisies and then having a yummy, delicious swim. 💦💙
Second stop: French fries for Lillian followed by a frog!!!
Tahini Broccolini for me followed by a vegan chocolate blackout cupcake for me. Lillian tried the broccolini and like it! It was so yum!! Charred broccolini with a smoky, lemony tahini sauce topped with toasted almonds.
Third stop: Audrey Harris Park – Read for a bit and then had fun taking photos! Love this view! 🌺🌺🌺
Lillian and Camilla March 2019 Date Day …. Lets be true and authentic here. I don’t post behind the scenes a whole lot. Yet, feel it’s important as a society not to hide the unloveliness of life.
It’s been more than a week since I’ve had uninterrupted good nights sleep. Last night Lillian woke me up about 4 times.
This morning after waking up, Lillian threw up. Just a random throwing up episode. She used to have this happen quite often. But, it’s been years since the last occurrence.
She did not want to call off her date. Even though it was going to be a short date as I had a 1:00 doctors appointment for Thomas.
So … at 3:00 we left the house for her traditional fries. Now, for the date details. 😃🎉
Fries for Lillian (and me!) Vegan brownie for me and iced sugar cookie for her. She wanted to go for a walk; but was too tired. So, we went for a nice drive through our old neighborhoods. Pulled over and took this amazing photo!! 💚💙
She’s quite the stubborn gal. She didn’t want to wait until nevt week when we had more time and when she felt better (and me too) as that would not be a March date in March. It would be a March date in April. Ugh!
A powdered donut celebration to end Lillian’s last day as a 16 year old. Complete with a heart shape donut middle!
We each took turns sharing a wee bit about Lillian’s 16th year and then had a donut toast!!
One gluten free chocolate cake with coconut sugar cream cheese frosting ready for tomorrow! Yum!
Lillian says she can already feel her 17 year old self coming through! 🎉💞💞💞🎉

(Message in Lillian’s birthday card)
I am incredibly happy for you with how far you’ve come in your life. From those wee itty bitty 4 pounds and 5 ounces to the mighty powerful creator you have grown into …. Grown into physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Your Knowing of what you want to experience in your life and letting that be Known are incredibly inspiring to me. You Know that you want to continue to write and create more stories and books. You Know that you want to travel and write about that also.
I am deeply sorry that I’m not able to facilitate the traveling portion of your Knowing. I know that both you and Thomas wish to travel more than our once a year trip to the annual Chromosome 18 conference. I, too, vision us traveling to the beautiful places we’ve all taken the time to list. We shall have this as our Team TLC goal. We shall get to this place eventually. I Know we will.
You have come great lengths in recognizing when your emotions have flared and I’m grateful that you tell me afterwards that something I did or said or a conversation we had caused you to get emotional. Noticing this is THE most important aspect of learning how to process emotions! What a GREAT accomplishment!!
I cannot wait to be a part of your 17th trip around the Sun. I look forward to this exciting time and am ever grateful that you and I chose one another for this grand adventure!!
Love you forever and always and throughout all times and dimensions,
Camilla
Mom xoxo

The celebrations began this morning with The gifts and The Cake!
Happy 17th Birthday to Lillian!!
**************************
For Lillian’s birthday this year, she asked for donations equaling $204 as she will be 204 months old (17 years), to The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society. She chose this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to her, and she hopes you’ll consider contributing as a way to celebrate with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal.

Lillian raised $265!! Go Lillian!!

September 15 2018:
Yesterday was the Lillian and Camilla September 2018 Date Day and Celebrating Lillian’s 17th Birthday.
After presents and cake we visited Rancho San Rafael and the Wilbur May Arboretum!!
The sky, trees, flowers, and grounds were simply breathtaking!! I love you trees! Where do I begin and the tree end? Tree! Oh, how I love thee?
September 14 2018:
Following the park beauty it was time for fries and dessert! Vegan ginger cookie for me and lemon shortbread sandwich cookie for Lillian!
Last two stops! Shopping after dinner for a new pair of sunglasses for Lillian. And then soaking our feet in the pool and hot tub!! Ahhhhh …. That felt amazing!
First stop – Fries for Lillian and a colorful fish shaped shortbread cookie for dessert. Coconut vegetable soup for me and a vegan hemp oat cookie for me. So yum!!!
Then shopping for some clothing items for Lillian. Now, a pit stop at home for a snack before closing out the date!!
Next half of date: A drive through our old neighborhood, with a few stops for photos.
Last piece of our date: A just-after-sunset walk. I adore the picture Lillian took of me. I had my eyes closed listening to the beautiful music the leaves sing as the wind blows through them. One of my most loved and treasured sounds.
Icecycle Creamery for lunch. The veggie sandwich I had was soooo yum!!! Followed by 1/2 scoop Mexican Hot Chocolate and 1/2 scoop of Classic Vanilla. Perfect! Too hot for an outdoor part to our date. Maybe early evening we’ll go for a walk. Will see.
