Cozy Christmas With Astronomy Binoculars and a New Phone

December 13 2020

I just had to take a photo as it is so cozy. 💚🎄❤️ Well, maybe I’ve taken about 10 photos, or more … 😂🤣

December 18 2020

So that Lillian could see the rare double planet conjunction before it’s gone, we opened a couple of gifts this morning. She got astronomy binoculars with a tripod stand. These are the hugest binoculars I’ve ever seen! We can see the trees on Mt Rose!!

I needed time to figure it all out before the rarity is finished! 🤣😂 Thomas got a brand new phone. He’s always used hand me down phones, and his was about to completely die! Yay!!! 💚💚💚🎄🎄🎄❤️❤️❤️

Huge binoculars!!! I’ve got to get the tripod set up so we can adjust the focus. They’re hard to hold completely still with your hands. Lillian definitely wouldn’t be able to hold them. We’re so excited to see the moon and the Christmas star!! I researched pros and cons between astrology binoculars and telescopes, and decided these would be better for her. 🌚 ✨ 🪐

Lillian has wanted a telescope for about 5 or 6 years. I’m thrilled to be able to finally get her something to look closer at the planets and stars! You can find some great articles online comparing the two. Honestly, I needed something I could figure out, also. I haven’t had much luck with telescopes!!

Throwback Post: Sunset Walk With Cormorants and a Beaver Followed By Respite

**THROWBACK POST**

June 26 2017:

Sunset walk with Lillian yesterday. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful. Nature is a blessing. She does her best to fill us up when we’re feeling empty. She also adds to our joy and peace when we’re joyful and peaceful. Mother Nature is the Best!!

June 26 2016:

We had company for tonight’s walk! They got to see the ducklings, goslings, cormorants, a huge frog, and the beaver! YAY!

June 26 2016:

We went over to The Romano Duo’s temporary home for the next 4 days. Had some fun at the pool. They get to have a sleepover Monday night!! First night of respite for me since last August. xoxo

Throwback Post: Fairy Book of Jobs

**THROWBACK POST**

September 23 2013:

Tonight Lillian was showing me the Fairy Book of Jobs. I asked her if she thought they needed a Reiki Fairy. She said “Yes” and told me my next step is to write down that I’d like to be a Reiki Fairy and turn it into one of the teachers at The Fairy College. They will get back to me. Lillian said that would be a really good thing there. She also said she may see me there later as she is going to the Fairy Library and it is at the college. Hope y’all have some sweet dreams on that note!! HA!!! xoxo

(May 2012 Photo of Lillian, on one of our walks)

December 2020 Note: Lillian was 12 years old when this happened. For quite some time, every night while she slept she visited Fairy Land. That’s what this conversation was about. Such sweet, sweet, memories!

Swimming in the Cold With a Manual Sweeper and The Shadow Whisperer

November 19 2020

Just back from a swim. This is the first time I’ve ever had access to an outdoor, year-round, heated pool. (YAY!!!) The water felt amazing, heated to 80 degrees currently. We’ll see if I can keep it up as the temperature drops. 💙 💦 🏊‍♀️ 💦💙

November 22 2020

This manual sweeper is in the top ten of best purchases. Lillian and I split the cost of this so that she could help clean the mess she leaves behind after eating.

Some of my C18 friends will understand. She doesn’t have lip closure, and has issues with sitting close to the table, leaving lots of crumbs and bits on the floor. Another win for both of us!! Go Lillian!! 🎉🎉🎉 And, yay for me!! 🎉🎉🎉

November 26 2020

Spotted this morning. Before Lillian came into my life, I don’t think I would have ever been as observant of shadows. She’s the Shadow Whisperer, and has taught me much. 🖤❤️🖤

Lillian and Camilla November 2020 Date Day

November 24 2020

Lillian and Camilla November 2020 Date Day

French fries from Noble Pie Parlor – Summit Reno for both of us, with a Trader Joe’s spicy lentil wrap for me. ❤️😋❤️

Dessert of a white chocolate dipped cookie for Lillian and a couple of squares of this amazing new chocolate I just discovered at Trader Joe’s. 🖤😋🖤

Then we took a walk in one of our favorite places, followed by a drive around our old neighborhood. 💜💐💜

Zoom Dancing With a Secret Service Agent and a Rose Fairy Princess

October 31 2020

Thank you Michelle Dvorak for hosting the The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society Halloween dance party!! What fun!! Everyone looked amazing and fun in their costumes!! 🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃

October 31 2020

First time over to The Romano Duo’s since December. A whole pot of vegan chili just for me … with a virgin Bloody Mary!! 🧡🖤🎃👻

We had a fun time getting to visit The Romano Duo at their place. All three of us haven’t been since Last December.

We ate dinner outside and then I took Thomas and Lillian around the neighborhood for trick or treating. It was great to see how creative people were with safely handing out candy. Thomas was a secret service agent (who forgot to tuck in his shirt until after photos … Oops!). Lillian was once again The Rose Fairy Princess. 👻🎃💀

Thomas and Lillian also got a surprise visit from their dad who they’ve not seen since 2014. He phoned as we were driving to The Romano Duo’s place and said he’d be driving through town in about an hour. He visited for about 20 minutes before continuing on. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Home now. Time for Thomas and I to watch Arsenic & Old Lace. ☠️☠️☠️

A New Phone After Eleven Years – Lillian Darnell

October 24 2020

It’s been 11 years since she had a brand new phone. Enjoy the new phone, Lillian!!! Love the sparkly red glitter cover she chose.

Thank you to all of the amazing friends and family who donated their old iPhones to us throughout these years. We appreciate your kindness more than can be expressed. Thomas and I are still on donated phones. I use things til they die or fall apart!! Ha!!

Lillian Darnell – First Time Voting

October 23 2020

It is done. I normally wouldn’t take so many pictures. Yet, this was Lillian’s first time. She can’t/won’t wear a mask so she didn’t get to walk it in to the official ballot box at Raleys – took me about 2 minutes. 💙🌊💙

When Lillian reluctantly agreed to register to vote last year while we were getting her ID, she had no intention of voting. I suggested she might change her mind, and this way she’d be ready, just in case. I asked her last night why she changed her mind, deciding to vote. She said, “The United States needs me to vote.” She researched the candidates and the questions for hours. Congratulations, Lillian Darnell!!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Swimming Clouds in Water Heaven

October 15 2020

Clouds swimming through the sky, and Lillian on our after dinner walk on Tuesday.

October 15 2020

I tried to capture the amazing view from the swimming pool. I am so deeply grateful that I get to experience this, gratitude so immense it swallows me whole. Had a lovely swim this morning. My Pisces soul is in water heaven.
